to get sunburn? I say yes and my co-worker says you cannot get a sunburn on the palm of your hand.

Histologically, the skin on your palm is different than the skin on the rest of your arm. Your palms have thick (hairless) skin, while the rest has thin skin. Thin skin tans much more readily than thick skin. However, burn damage from sun radiation is possible on any skin.

You can get sunburned anywhere that your skin is exposed to the sun. Your co-worker is dense :p
