Hmm... I guess we are seeing some of the worst and it is true that religion is being used. But I don't agree that this "worst" is coming off religion. It is rather coming off from people who really want to hurt others. If they could not use religion they would definitely find another excuse to execute the same things that we are seeing now.

Religion is in fact being misused by many who claim to be a certain religion towards their own gain. But to judge All religion because of individuals who abuse their beliefs is not entirely correct.

I believe everyone has their on right to believe in that which they believe, as it is instilled in all of us as personal perception. No two people will see exactly the same thing form the same situation.

But, what can come from religion is not judged by the ones who abuse them, but from the ones who use their belief to bring peace among many, not by arguing who is right, but by setting an example by their own actions. That is the proper way to let the world know of your beliefs. Words are only words, but action is what changes the world.

This is my opinion, as yours may differ.

sorry mate we haven't seen the worst of it yet. the crusades were worse than whats happening right now.
but i appreciate the sentiment. it won't take much more to see the worst side of religion.
religion itself as an entity is evil. it is the structured business of faith. faith shouldn't have anything attached to it, it should just be!

Seems to me you are referring to politics within religion. It isn't the religion that causes trouble it's the politics.

If Christians would do as their bible tells them to do, we wouldn't have anywhere near the troubles we see.
