I get head aches 5-6 days out of the week. This usually happens when I first wake up in the morning. Do you think that's a sign of something serious, or is it common?

Sleep apnea is when someone stops breathing while sleeping - not totally or you would be dead and not complaining of headaches at all
Have you every thought of trying magnetic, copper or ionized bracelets? These do have positive affects on some people
Maybe you should look at buying a new bed or if not a completely new bed - maybe just memory foam toppers which are fairly inexpensive

good luck to you

First you should talk to your Doctor about them. There are many things that can contribute to headaches or migraines. Allergies, Blood Pressure, Caffeine, even the Barometer dropping can cause them. Try having a hot cup of coffee in the mornings. It will open up your head, if it doesn't help, go to De-caf. Ice packs are really great for relieving the throbbing. Also if you take 2 extra strength Tylenol and 3- 200 mg Ibuprofen together, it really kicks it. Or you could try 2 Alieve and 3 Ibuprofen but check with your Doctor first. But the mixing of these really work.

Headache can be caused by many things. If you are getting dizzy with them in the morning, it could be caused from orthostatic hypotension (blood pressure drop, due to blood pooling in the legs).... it could also be stress, a vertabrae in your back out of place, the mattress that you sleep on, it could be a mass that has formed in the brain.... go to your doctor, get CT and MRI scans if necessary. I know someone who started with headaches, next thing they knew...they were rushed to the ER... because death was upon him because of a non-cancerous growth. Get it checked...better to be safe than sorry, and to stop something before it could potentialy be to late.

Do you take in caffeine? Sounds like caffeine withdrawal to me. Doctor should be able to run a simple blood test to tell if it's something more serious. Good luck.

Are you dehydrated? Could be a sign of dehydration. But if they are consistent I would go and see a doctor.
