Start by providing some basic details about yourself such as your name, age/DOB, contact information etc. In some countries you might have to provide details of your visa status/nationality. Insert a professional looking passport size photograph as well. Go on to provide details of your educational qualifications and work experience. You can also enter details specific to your profession under a title 'other relevant qualifications'. Some people also choose to include information about their hobbies and interests. Finally remember to include a personalised cover page for each application that you turn in, it should include why you chose that company/job and why you think you would be a good candidate for the post. Stick to a professional format and remember to keep the language short but informative, employers dont have time to read long, detailed resumes.

I would suggest you take some professional help (for FREE) from MS word which has inbuilt resume templates for making your resume.
You can also follow the step-by-step instruction to make your free resume, using the resume builder provided with MS office.
Resume styles differ according to profession, and sources of sample resumes are available in my profile, check my profile for more details, all the best :)

There are many different kinds of resumes....as stated previously, your word processor has templates that you can use, but there are tons of examples on the www...just search resumes or resume samples on yahoo search or google.

So, what kind of job are you looking for? I would think that not being able to write a resume would be detrimental to your success. Not having the ability to actually find out for yourself and rectify the "problem" on your own (initiative) is an even bigger detriment to success.
