Drugs to help drug addicts? What has the world come to. Pharmaceutical companies getting rich at the expense of the weak.

The brand name I think you're referring to is Subutex.. or Suboxone the chemical name. It is used to treat withdrawal symptoms from heroin, Oxycontin, morphine, Vicodin... Any opiate. It is, supposedly, a much quicker and more comfortable alternative to methadone treatment. I've heard stories from junkies who say it is a miracle drug. But then, junkies aren't usually reliable.

One problem, however. According to the articles I read about it a couple years ago, government sanctions have allowed for each doctor who can prescribe the drug to only treat a few patients at a time. I've heard the waiting list is very long. Good luck.
