sure - just as long as you don't sniff people's butts or crotches

It depends. What is the quality of your bark and where do you do it in the store? Is it occasional or annoying to others? I can see a Chihuahua barking for tomitillos or a Shepherd barking for beef. When I was poor and hungry I would give a mutt's bark at the trucks delivering pastries and sausages. Sometimes they would give me an outdated bone.
In desperate straights I would give a yip for ramen noodles an once and awhile catch a customer's attention.
Rule of thumb: Don't ever bark at the checkout clerk and never bark in the presence of a potential provider.

No I think not. As barking is a territorial trait you can't really get away with it. It's not your job to defend the supermarket and you may be reported as a dangerous animal and be put down.

I'd say its ok to bark,so long as it isn't too loud.No howling! This scares the customers.
Now I'd say if ya licked your genitals, or dragged yer butt across the floor,........ that may be going a lil too far !

It's rude- why would you want to bark? Unless you can't help it, it's okay.

Well...
It is rather stupid than rude, but I think it would go with your personality.
Thanks for the 2 points.

Only if it's in reply to someone else. Speak when you're spoken to. (Otherwise you're talking to yourself and that's just plain weird.)
