You should always have a plan.
Where you are running away to.
How to get there.
What are you going to do when you get there.
If you cannot answer all of the above questions, perhaps you should take a hard look as to why you are running away, and or who or what you are running away from and for example, if you are being abused, maybe you should file a police report and put an end to it. You could get a restraining order and if the offender keeps it up, file charges and he or she will wind up where they belong, behind bars. Or if you feel your life is threatened, you might want to get a carry permit, and see how much of a threat they are with their head blown off.

When you were little, did you ever run away? Maybe you packed up your backpack and made it down the driveway or around the corner to your friend's backyard. But after a little while, you forgot why you were running away and it was getting dark out, so you went home.
Hopefully, that was the last time you ever thought about running away because there's a big difference between thinking about running away (or walking a few blocks down the street) and actually running away.
Running away is a serious problem. According to the National Runaway Switchboard, an organization that takes calls and helps kids who have run away or are thinking of running away, one in seven kids between the ages of 10 and 18 will run away at some point. And there are 1 million to 3 million runaway and homeless kids living on the streets in the United States.
Why Kids Run Away
Remember how you felt the last time you got in a big fight with your parents or one of your brothers or sisters? That kind of anger and hurt can be what pushes someone to run away from home. In fact, most kids run away due to problems with their families. Some kids run away because of one terrible argument. Some kids even decide to leave without ever having a fight. They might have done something they're ashamed of, and they're afraid to tell their parents.

I don't think running away solves anything... the problem is still there but unsolved... people say they drink because of their problems... when they sober up they have not solved their problem ... it is still there... if you are having problems ... deal with them one at a time...parents are not hard to get along with... communication is needed and lots of it ... not just a little bit of this and a little bit of that... put all things out on the table and talk about them calmly... no yelling... and you will see how much you can accomplish....so you don't need to run away.... God Bless

Yeah, it could turn out to be one of the biggest mistakes of your life! Alot of people in this world nowdays are very messd up, and they will hurt you if given the chance. Why would you want to put yourself in that kind of situation? I say all of this from experience, I spent alot of my young teen years running away, and it got me nothing but some VERY bad memories! Please dont do something drastic like that. Whatever situation you are in, isnt going to get any better by you running away. Please talk to a close friend or family member. I am telling you this because I have been there! Use my e-mail if you want to.

Why would you think about asking this on the web? You know that you're going to get posts telling you that you're overreacting and that running away is not the best solution to whatever problems you have. Consult a trusted adult, get some counseling, etc, etc. It's sad to hear that you're not doing well. Good Luck.

YES. But first, sit down and make a list of what problems you are running away from.
Then list all the problems you will encounter if you run away, like adult perverts looking for young girls, like how you eat when your money runs out, like what happens when you get sick.
Email me when you get your lists and let's talk about it.
Good Luck

Call up your local fast food establishment or grocery stores where you would have to work if you were to make it on your own. Find out what they pay. Do a budget. See how long you can live on that pay. Don't forget to include clothing, and essentials such as even toilet paper. If you are being abused, call DFACS or talk to your school counselor. If you have extremely strict parents such as I did, suffer now and you'll thank them when you're about 21! :)

the most important question you must ask yourself is,"were im i running to"? That has to be your first plan. Do I have money to take care of myself on the run? Think.....

Why do you want to this? If anything finish your education while room and board is still free, and then break away if you still feel this way. Education is very important if you are still in highschool...don't blow it. The college years are even better, and it's an even better time to make something of yourself then.
Hope this helps...email me if you want to discuss further
