I have dealt with something similar before...
It has to be addressed by this guy's supervisor. You should not say anything to him, or you could find yourself in trouble. It is also very possible that this person's supervisor has addressed it and discovered that this person has some kind of disorder. If this is the case, the supervisor or the company would not be able to do anything without risking litigation. They also would not be able to tell you about it without risking litigation.

RE:
How do I broach the subject of an employee who defecates in his pants?
I work, along with three other employees, with a fellow that has poor hygiene. In that, I mean he literally defecates in his pants. He is well aware that he does this. He offers no apology or no excuse for this. He sometimes goes to the bathroom to "clean up", but instead he trashes...

It is an actual disorder. I can't recall the name but its long and not all that common. Its a lack of bowl controls due to a massive shock to the system during childhood from a very traumatic event normally.
The person needs counseling to work through it and to have it stop. Person that worked for my Mom had a son that went through this. Happened from 6 till 15 yrs old.
He is aware of it but can't help nor stop it and I am sure by now he is past the point of embarrassment. More or less the trigger that most have that tells the brain "hey...go to the bathroom" doesn't work right, its shorted out due to short in brain.
If a Doctor see's this he can give more professional terms, etc.

Don't QUIT!!!!! I once rented a spare room in my home to a guy that seemed real nice. He had told me that he had been in the Marines for nine years and was looking for a new place to stay. I asked him if he was ever in jail or anything and he said no. I was cool with that so I rented him the room. About a month into it I would notice when he got up in the morning that his body smelt so rancid that I wanted to PUKE!!!!! My ex husband was sitting there one morning when he came into the kitchen and told him "Dude take a shower you stink". Well everyday after that he would come out of his room and stink like ****. He was doing the same thing and getting off on his smell. I was so grossed out. Well it turned out I didn't have to throw the guy out because he got drunk one night and put a gun to my head i grabbed the cordless and ran outside calling 911. They sent close to 15 cops out evacuated both homes on each side of me fearing he would shoot. They put me and my friend in a cop car and let up sit there because we were freezing. After 45 minutes they got him out of my house. Come to find out not only was he never in the Marines, but was a habitual offender with the law and was Schitzophrenic who got off on the way he smelled. He is still in jail. Saves my nose alot.

yow! id get the other three guys to go with you and demand that something be done, why is he still working there, is he related to the boss? That is not a very professional situation. I dont know what it is that you do, but that is just unacceptable, as well as biologicly dangerous.

oh foul - although i once met an old guy who had a similar problem.
It is something that needs to be discussed - especially if the clean up is as bad as you say.

Approach with noseplug.
Seriously though, just go to someone above your supervisor then.
