Okay, this will be a long one... When my husband and I first married, we decided that we would not have children. We enjoyed our careers, our carefree lives, and we simply did not have the parental urge that most of our friends were experiencing. Instead of babies, we opted for dogs. A few years into our marriage, the carefree lifestyle begain to lose it's sparkle. Something was missing, and we simply could not place it. I had never had a maternal feeling in my life, but suddenly I was noticing how cute little boys were. Their cute character shoes, little overalls, and the amazing love they had for their Mothers. One day I just realized, the woman who never wanted to change a dirty diaper or wake in the middle of the night for a feeding, wanted a baby! My husband and I had not been using any protection for about a year, so it wasn't a huge decision for us to start trying to conceive. We decided to just let it happen when it was meant to happen. I was definitely more observant of my fertile times, but did not get too crazy over it. About 4 months later, I became pregnant with our first baby, a son. He is the most amazing thing to ever happen to our lives, and we have done some pretty great things! Like watching the races in Monte Carlo, walking the streets of Portofino, and sunbathing in St Tropez to name a few. :) When my son was 11 months old, we got another surprise... A baby girl was conceived! We now have two absolutely beautiful babies! We love every minute of it! We still get to travel occassionally, and we still dine downtown several times a year, but it all dulls in comparison to one of my children saying, "Mama, I love you".

My daughter was not planned, I do not believe it was an accident. It just happened. Would I change anything? No, I would not. I would recommend to anyone out there to at least wait until you have a college education before starting a family.

First son was improper use of birth control pills, doctor could not find one to regulate. Second son was to keep first son "happy" we didn't want him to be an "only" child (between us) and third child-first daughter was a surprise! I did not menstruate for 3 1/2 years, ovarian cancer, we did not think it was even possible but never the less she came along. Then came baby girl #2 and child #4, accident-surprise whatever you want to call it but she's here and we all enjoy her. Both myself and husband enjoy and love babies.

Children are never an accident. There is so much out there to prevent pregnancies. My son, I thought if I get off my pill it would take a year to get pregnant. Less than a few days off my pills, I was pregnant. My daughter, I let her sperm donor talk me into it.
