YES! Don't drink AT ALL! If you want a drink, like wine or a beer, once in awhile, ask your Doctor, as they will tell you the truth. As you know, alcohol is a depressant, so why be depressed more? Hang in there, you will have a chance, one day, to how you say it "shitfaced", some day, but not at this time!

To be honest, I can tell you that of course, all the antidepressants do tell you not to mix them with alcohol. They do have an effect on the liver, but it is slight and unless you are a chronic, heavy drinker, it's not going to damage your body badly enough for you to feel or notice anything. Kind of like how you aren't supposed to drink if you've taken any Tylenol or ibuprofen, because they have similar effects on the liver. However, what you should be very aware of is that some antidepressants can make you black out when you drink heavily while on them. They can also make you excessively depressed. I'm not saying this to scare you, but it is the truth. Some antidepressants are okay to mix with alcohol if you are careful about it. Don't avoid taking your Wellbutrin on the days you drink, unless you're going to discontinue its usage for several days beforehand, because Wellbutrin has a long half-life. That means it is still active in your body for several days after you've taken your last dose. So you may think, Well, I've not taken it today, I can drink like a fish. But in reality, it's still in your body.
So just make sure that if you are drinking heavily on Wellbutrin that you are aware that you may become really, really depressed, and you might black out when you drink. But everyone is different, so some people may have horrible experiences with Wellbutrin and alcohol, while you might be fine.
Good luck.

I take Wellbutrin and I drink. I NEVER get drunk or shitfaced! When I drink it is usually only 2 drinks. That is if I go to a party or just at home to relax. 2 drinks may seem little, but when you are on an anti-depressant 2 drinks gives you the buzz of like 4 or 5. For instance, I drunk a beer the other night, and was buzzin really good and was super happy for awhile (which rocks!). But you can have 1 or 2 drinks, my doctor himself told me that it was ok. Also I only stick to malt beverages or cocktails. No hard liquor. Also if you are going to drink, make sure you drink lots of water and no soda whatsoever. I'm pretty sure Wellbutrin + alcohol + tons of sugar + caffiene = disaster. Hope that helped :)

The weelbutrin isn't the worst, its the cholesterol which really affects your liver. Try to get shitfaced once a month and have just one drink every few days.
Besides shitfaced isn't really a good way of life,

I know a great biker bar for you to do that in.
Fk the depressants, the alcohol and them don't mix, but if you do them together make sure you don't take any aspirin or else you may have a stroke or worse.
