either because they have too much pride and do not want to reveal their shortcomings, or they see talking about their problems as being weak, or they're mistrustful of people. sometimes people don't talk about personal things because they don't think the other person will understand. or that they will be judged in a way that they don't want to be. when you're spilling your most inner self, the other person's reaction/response is very important. and some people do not wish to take that risk.

It is really hard to open your heart to someone else when you have been hurt in the past. When you open your heart to another person you are vulnerable and easily hurt. You take the chance of going through the same pain and agony again. It takes so much trust to be able to open your heart again.

Usually it is either how they are raised that can make them a bit more reserved and not wear there heart on there sleeves. Or it could maybe have been a bad relationship from that person past? Life definitely can put one through the ringer once or twice. I know it has me….

Everyone has problems in life it is how we deal with them, learn from them and move on from them that is important.

I grew up in an abusive household so in early years I think I was seeking love elsewhere that I didn't get from my dad. Then through the help of an ex bf of mine who cheated on me I began to be a bit more where I wouldn't give my heart away so easily and haven't done so to this day. I did once after that guy who cheated on me and it was wonderful. Things didn't work with us, but it was nice to know that deep inside I had moved beyond all that hurt. Ironically the one who I moved on with had a previous relationship where he had a hard time trusting and loving again. We were together off an on for 3 years. Now 2 years later he still isn't letting me go. Trying to say "I love you, always have let's try again". But it's a little to late now; I can't go back to that. Because as wonderful as it was to open my heart again to another person It also hurt in the end. That's ok though, I wouldn't take away any of the time we shared with one another.

Sometimes people that go through our lives are meant as ones who come in and out of our life to show, teach or share something with us that will forever change us in either a good or bad way. It is your choice on which of those it is.

We always seem to find the one who is "worth it" to go through the potential pain. It's just I have learned you can't go into a relationship believing it is destined to be doomed or it really will be doomed.

One thing I believe is when we feel pain as much fun as it isn't at least when I feel anything it makes me know I am alive and as corny as it sounds it's a wonderful feeling!

If you are currently involved with one who you feel isn't open to love. It is fine to stick it out a bit, but I wouldn't wait to long because life could be passing you up as you know it. You can't fix or change other people’s issues in life no matter how much you might want to. Even though in my head I knew that....my heart told me differently thus the 3 years with this man.

Good Luck to you and just do what YOUR Heart tells you to do.....what more can we do?

Its not easy for the people who are sensitive to open up to others. they are forever worried what the other person will think of them. moreover being emotional they get hurt easily. They feel safer in their own shell where people can't reach them. If you are one who is shy of others then i would suggest to open up to someone unknown first.. may be like you can talk here at YA or if you want someone else to open up to you then create trust in that persons heart for you.

because they are afraid to let themselves be vulerable! and also because they find it hard to trust others! and also they may have been hurt in the past and are scared to love again becasue they are afraid they might get hurt again! But you know if you don't take a risk you will never know if the relationship might have worked out and made you happy!

It's not easy for some people to express their feelings and thoughts to others. Some don't feel comfortable opening up to others.
