yes and yes and middle school is like a geeky time even for preps and everyone is also going thru alot and its like so different and all ages get in diff classes and its so different you will love it

High school may actually be worse unless you are at or near the top of the social ladder or belong to a clique.
It doesn't start to get better until maybe the junior year of college. By then you are with so many different people from different locations in a casual atmosphere that traditional cliques that formed in high school have a lot of trouble maintaining themselves. At that point the only thing you have to watch out for are sororities that go too far.
