The continued war in Afghanistan, alongside the new democratically elected government to rid the country of foreign Taliban and Al Queda fanatics and also to destroy the opium crop is just and right.
We should never have gone into Iraq, but now we are there and having dismantled their security forces we cannot simply leave and let the country tgo into further ethnic, religious and tribal meltdown.

You know, no one is for war but when our country is attacked we can strike back and win or sit on our collective butts and wish for nicer days. Many will sit on their collective butts and moan how terrible war is, but whether it is Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, North Korea, or cowardly Muslim terrorists the threat must be met and met with overwhelming force. If it is not, you won't be able to ask questions like this.

I don't understand these people that say "Oh we've lost so many troops, it's time to bring them home". It's terrible that any soldiers die, but that is what happens in war. What if during WWII the people would have been saying the things that they say today? I can tell you, you'd probably be speaking German or Japanese. There were some battles, that we lost more soldiers in a couple of days, then what we've lost in 5 yrs. I'm not sure that the american people of today could've lived during WW II. It's plain and simple, if we don't kill these terrorists where they live now, we will be killing them where we live.

I am against all wars, and I wish that the terrorist would merely give up and allow thier freely elected governments to rule.
But since they won't, we have to support the wars as we support our government and pray for the day that we will defeat the evil.

No one is truly for war. Some of us support the Military & Commander in Chief. Some of us believe in helping others to be free of a tyrant like Saddam & thus saving hundreds of thousands from toture & death. Some of us want to be free of fear of terrorism.
I am not for wars but I am one of those who want to be safe &
help others to be safe.

i am for the war against terrorism and protecting the homeland be it full of clinton/murtha loving terrorist or not i have to put all that aside and say protect AMERICA no matter who is on what side of the isle ok . geneva convention protections for terrorist granted by the democrats or not , we all know these people will slit our throats democrats or republicans we are all infadels to them. just start sliting on that side of the isle first OK.

For the war, I'm fighting it, you aren't so, please, pay some respect and shut up. Besides, pouring a bunch of money, blood, sweat, and tears into something and then just giving up is not something that I plan on doing.
