so what did you do to remember 9/11?

I wore a 911 t-shirt to work, (I'm in NY) my boss (from Europe) told me that it was "inappropriate" (this is coming from a guy that wears his breakfast to work on his shirt, unshaven, smells like an old fish, and looks like he combs his hair with a cherry bomb). I told him that I thought that it was disgusting that he even approached me about it, and that I wore it for all of the innocent people, and hero's that were lost on that day, "If you want to send me home with "NO PAY", I'll eat it but, I'm NOT taking off this shirt" I told him, another bigger boss walked into his office wearing a 911 shirt as he was telling me this, I just said "You were saying" ?.......I got back, "well if you feel that strongly about it, then I guess it's OK for today".. . Before I went to bed, I went outside of my house with my wife and little guy, we looked to the west for a few minutes to see the light going up to heaven from ground zero ! "UNITED WE STAND" !

I went about my business and wasn't terrorized by anything.

And I was glad I wasn't one of the thousands of people killed every month in a car wreck, or one of the tens of thousands killed by cancer, or directly involved in any of the many, many things that are more deadly than terrorism.

i am Australian, But i burnt a white candle in rememberance for all the lost lifes, I pray for you all , and i hope that one day you won't forget, but can move on, and start to rebuild your lives..
