I read Beowulf many moons ago and still have the book in my library. I think it is the first example of English literature.

It is an epic poem and has inspired other books, movies, cartoons, comic books. It is difficult to find an actual play, except the mud-play linked below, "Beowulf in the Mud". Seems a group that likes to make fun of literature by jumping in the mud.

No, it's an epic poem.

There is a semi-modern novel titled "Grendel" based off of it.

Also, there is supposedly a movie coming out...

I loved that story when I was in high school. It is very interesting. You should enjoy it. I still remember it. So much tragedy.

i think its called a saga as its a long poem type thing. but i am sure it has been made into a play
