Any one know how to make your own oil scents or papyri?

Just wondering if anyone knows how u make your own scented oils and or papyri (don't know if I spelled that right) dried leaves,roses that smell when u soak them? Would love to get new ideas of crafts that smell good if you have any please let me know. Thanks so much:o)

do not know much aboutr making oils and such, but i think using a paprika in a small glass leaving it in bath room,kitchen or other rooms might be interesting,
