Hello! I'm 15 and in high school. I'm 5'7" and 128-130 pounds. I'm not sure if I'm chubby, im certinitly not pencil thin. My pant size varies by brand but is 0, 2, & 4 or 26, 27, & 28. I used to only wear 0, like in 6th, 7th and 8th grade, but lately, my old pants haven't fit. I have larger bones than other girls, so that might make me heavier, right? And I know about BMI, but BMI isn't very accurate. It can say you're normal when in fact you're not. I'm a little curvy on top, not fat, but I don't have a six pack. I exercise 5 times a week, 1 hour of cardio, I also walk home everyday from school - 1 mile. Seems like at school all the girls my height are so much thinner than me, and they weigh around 120! So, what do you all think?

Look if you are a size 4 maximum, then you are not going to chubby are you. You may have problem areas, but everyone does, even the size 0's. I doubt you have bigger bones, you don't weigh very much and your clothes size is small, so what are you worried about? Being curvy on top is a good thing and you don't need a six pack to be healthy. Because you work out, you probably have more muscle than those 120lb girls and are more healthy too. Why do you want to be pencil thin anyway? You sound ideal to me. Take care : )

No, you are definitely not chubby! You are within the weight range for your height. Bone structure does make a difference. If you are larger boned than other girls with your same height, then of course they will weigh a few pounds less than you! Your pants size is actually small for your height and weight. It must be the 5x/week exercise routine you are doing. Muscle is more condensed than fat. You sound like you are in great shape!

No, darlin, you are aren't chubby. You are perfectly normal. The reason your old clothes don't fit you anymore is because you are growing. Again, perfectly normal and healthy. You eat well, get exercise and seem to be fairly happy. Relax! Enjoy yourself. Forget about BFI - you are 15 - too young for it to apply. If you look at as many X-Rays as I do, we all have pretty much the same size bones. What we have different is genetics and acceptance. Your body is doing what it's supposed to do - it's a confusing trip sometimes, but you are moving from child to adult. Talk to your Mom or an older sister if you're really concerned. But it sounds to me like you have nothing to worry about.

You sound perfectly normal and healthy. Remember that just because other girls are thinner doesn't mean that they are healthier. They are probably too thin and malnourished. Don't stress over your weight. Every teen girl has weight issues. As long as your taking care of yourself the way that you are, then you are not too chubby! If you are worried that much, then the only thing to watch is your diet. Don't concentrate on the bad things, concentrate on what's healthy. Fresh fruit, veggies, whole grain carbohydrates, plenty of dairy, and lean meats. Drink lots of water and stop when you get full (it takes 20 minutes for your stomach to tell your brain that it's full).

Not to be funny but you need to get over it. If GOD wanted all of us to look the same, then HE would have made us the same! Who cares what the other girls look like. Just because you are the same height as someone else does not mean that you are supposed to be the same weight. You are still growing so why would you think that you are supposed to fit the same pants that you wore in junior high? Learn to appreciate your body and know that you are beautiful no matter what size you are!

I do not think you are chubby, do maintain your weight though. Eat two average meals and substitute one meal with a salad and fruit. Also make sure whatever you eat should have some fiber in it. Eat whole grain breads with 3 gms of fiber each slice. Also drink 8 glasses of water. You do not have to diet but eat healthy. Also add skim yogurt to your diet, not the sweet commercial kind but add your fruits to plain yogurt and sprinkle just a little sugar. I agree with the other reader that bone structure and muscles make you heavier. I am giving u this advise for future weight maintenance. Also its more important that you focus on your studies. Do people look at Larry king with envy because he is handsome or because he is smart. I am not a fan of Condi Rice but she is smart, confident and enviable.

Sounds normal to me. When girls get to be about your age, their bodies start changing, getting more flesh (and fat) here and there. Noone can stay in the same size clothes forever. As long as you try to eat good and dont get lazy (im guilty of that unfortunately!), you'll be fine. Dont compare yourself to the other girls cause you'll just end up disliking yourself. Everyones bodies are different, even those who are the same height.

I think you need to stop worrying about what the other girls "numbers" are? You sound fine and obviously take good care of your body. The real test is how you feel when you look in the mirror. Be honest, check it out. And be happy your weight - height ratio sounds wonderful.

You are absolutely just right. You are in great shape, maybe on the thin side. Muscle weighs more than fat, and evidently, you have muscles from walking every day from school. Just enjoy your years of growing up! I hope this helps.

As a matter of fact you sound perfect, What's your number??? LOL J/K.
I think you're fine (I had to ask one of my sisters about the sizes, she's 15 too), you just need to listen to what "Chris" said about thinking about others sizes. just keep on enjoing your tennager years and you'll see how your body will "shape up" later on the way you want it to... ;)
