The government says that the majority DON'T want a fence...is this true??

I have signed this petition: http://www.weneedafence.com/petitionty.asp

Maybe we can convince them...

Do you think we need a fence? Do you think that the illegals are trying to ruin our economy the same way they ruined their own?

We need some type of immigration control. The government is responsible for all the illegals entering this nation. People will do only what you permit them to do.

I watched a program on CMT about a small border town...and it showed 2 people guarding the border(about 50 miles), an old man and an ex school teacher. They said the government claims that the national guard is there, but footage over several days showed only those 2 men were there. A police officer was interviewed and he claimed about 130 illegals a day cross there, and they only catch about 10-20. He also said that not all were hispanic. They have caught middle easterners crossing there also. The cop said no military is patroling the border, only concerned citizens doing what they can.

My brother is in the national guard and he says they can't guard the border...it is too big and there is not enough people.

I think the government is lying about border patrol.

I signed the petition, thank you for the information.

Also, you are right about the economy. The immigrants that are "revolting" claim a right to the US and claim they are going to control it's government...calling themselves the future of America, the future Mexico. They claim they will change the national language and have everything printed in spanish. They don't come peacefully. They are organizing a take over. They don't want to come here to enjoy the freedom, they want to lay a claim and try to control everything. That is why they need to be kept out. There are almost 30 million illegals here now, that is plenty enough for an army of revolutionaries.

Because we have people in office that've turned a tin ear to the concerns of a lot of bona-fide citizens in favor of whatever shady business deal they're into this week, that's why the border fence isn't finished yet. It kind of looked like Congress had something going on there, a week ago, time will tell though if they succeed in cranial/rectal extraction or not...there's a lot of conflict-of-interest on this issue...and not a lot of 'face the facts' from the people that are supposed to be representing us.

The more people that write or call or speak in favor of actually nailing the US/Mexico border shut, the better. Mexico's been our biggest long-standing violator on immigration laws, slam the door shut for a while 'til they get their act together. Give em 5 years to build their own infrastructure, pass the hat with other countries to get some global 'welfare for Mexico' going or something, and then give them the opportunity to solve some of their own problems without having our country be the 'easy out' next door that prevents them from achieving their own progress'.

We need something...a fence would be a start, but we also need troops stationed there, b/c they have/can/will/ dig holes under the fence. There also needs to be a zero-tolerance policy for ILLEGAL aliens...unfortunately, the odds of all that happening are slim. The cheap labor has effectively drove down wages and are helping corporations profits to soar into the billions. Of course, Joe Taxpayer foots the bill for all the free services that they and their offspring incur.
What I don't get is why the illegals are so mad at us for not letting them in, but aren't mad at the corruption in vice in their own political system which has caused them to leave their beloved homeland...if they used their energy for that, maybe they could make some positive changes in Mexico...or is this just easier for them...the work is already done for them?! I think the Mexican government is getting off way to easy! Well...anyways, I signed the petition, thanks so much for the link!

We are building a wall. Why do you think the National Guard is at the border? Neddie, why do you think the president has anything to do with what business does, or whether or not local law enforcement goes after those businesses breaking the law by hiring illegals? Or are you just looking to blame someone, and he is handy? That's what I thought. You assume the Federal commander in chief of the armed forces somehow has power over your local PD.

I say we need a fence with our National Guard at the boarder with a lot of guns. I know that they sure get a lot of benefits which Americans need more!

Do you want a new Berlin Wall? Do you want to be isolated from your neighbours? As we know, all terrorists came legally!
You don't have a fence because you need slave labor and the US govmt saves tons of $$$$$$$$$ by not paying for slave imports. They just let them in. Corporate America loves slave labor.
None ever would have to sneak in if they were allowed to come and work legally!!!
