My dad woke me up to see the plane that hit the first tower. As we kept watching I saw it all unfold. A few days later we found out that one of my great uncles died in the Pentagon. I received his gold Army eagle because I used to sit on his knee when I was little and tell him it was my "favorite jewelry" he wore and my family received one of his purple hearts. I'll never forget.

I was in Sarasota, FL. The day before we saw the president's motorcade. That morning someone called me and sounded very upset. It was a wrong number and a few minutes later my mom called and told me. My roommate and I went to the airport to watch Air Force One take off. I've never seen a plane take off like that. As a side point, my boss also taught a history class at the school I went to. He was teaching when the slide projector broke so he sent the student on a break where they all heard the news. When they got back to class the first slide up was of a kamikaze.

I was at home, here on Long Island, playing hookie from skewl, when my mom yelled to me "turn on the TV" and it was devestating. I went outside and saw the smoke and the silence for a month later from no planes and the air was very thick. Scary day- one never to forget.

I sent my daughters to high school, turned the television on only to see the first tower in flames at that point I thougt it was just an accident. As the second plane hit I called the school and went and pulled my girls out. Me and a thousand other parents I was told. My stubborn oldest thought it was no big deal she wanted to stay in school with her friends. I called her Grandpa and he told her to get in the car he gave her and get her *** home. The youngest one had no problem she was elated to go home!!!! As for myself I grieved and still do for all that died in 911. I couldn't seem to pull it together today knowing that if was the fifth terrible anniversary of this terrible day. I finally pulled myself out of the bed today at 2 and I still wonder why I got up at all (I had to feed the dogs and let them out!!!!)

I had no Idea what he was mad about and thjough that I may have cut him off by mistake and so I rolled up my windows and turned the radio on and Howard Stern was on and talking about the planes flying in to theTwin Towers.

I was in my kitchen going through my son's backpack looking for weed and found his dealers number. I called that number and said if he ever sold drugs to my son again, I'd have him arrested.
So, I was feeling pretty rotten and then my hubby came in and said to turn on the TV. With the first plane, I thought it was an accident. Then came plane number 2. If my son HAD any weed, I probably would have used it. Did you watch the ABC movie tonight? I felt that way again. That sinking feeling in your stomach where you want to puke but can't.
