the reason i ask this is because i have seen so many questions on here where people dont believe in god because good people die. i think some times our deaths do more good then our lives. this life is temporary but the after life is forever. i think thats why GOD sometimes lets good people die. because it takes something major to affect the people of this world.

i asked this question 3 hours ago and i only got one answer so i thought i would ask it again. please think really hard on this question i would like your personal opinion not bible verses

i think a lot of people are missing the point of this question. take for example a really good and wise woman or man who does good deeds and helps every one and every animal they come across their deeds go unnoticed until they some how have a tragic death then every one talks about their good deeds etc... my point is if this person had not of died then their message would not of had much of a impact. if Jesus had lived to a ripe old age he would have had many wonderful things to teach us but it would have either been ignored or long forgotten. and GOD knew the only way to save us was to send some one to die for us. and i believe the same is true today that he lets good people die so we stop and notice the message hes trying to send us.

i really see what your saying here, and i agree look at the Steve Irwin tragedy. it was awful and sad. but his death has made a bigger impact on the world then all of his TV shows combined i believe this is gonna inspire a lot of people. and maybe open some new programs for animal conservation.

Jesus was no part of this world. John 18:36; He died to Save this world John 3:16;

His death was foretold and it did make an impact on the world. 1Cor,15:22; As in Adam all die, even so in Christ sall all be made alive. Heb.2:9,14,16; He will destroy Satan who has caused death to every one John 8:44; and Jesus will destroy death. But and untimely death other than old age does leave an impact.

The untimely death of famous people does leave an impact on the world and all they represent will get the attention of the majority. The cause they seem to battle alone after they are gone is carried on by group and order for more acomplishment. Jesus knew that too!

Heb.9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Heb.9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Heb.9:16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

Maybe you didn't get any answers because it can't be answered.......I mean no disrespect, but it is just illogical. First, He wouldn't be Jesus if He died of old age, so no, it wouldn't have the same impact. He was wholly God and wholly man so He is/was eternal. However,I do believe IF it had been possible, His teachings would be just as relevant, but perhaps there would be less believers because His divinity is what so many have faith in. As far as God letting good people die, death is only a "bad thing" for those that are left to grieve and those that don't believe. Our lives in heaven will be so much more fulfilling than our lives on earth. That is not to say I am in any hurry to die, but I don't fear my death, I know I will suffer no more pain when that time comes. Sorry to digress. Blessings to you & yours!

The SON of the Creator of all life, turns up on earth to share the good news and remind us all of the ways of a peaceful life. Showing, instead of all the battles over petty greed of possesions we can all live co-habitually relative to the places we tend to and some how people doubt the difference of impact had he lived a full life. Yeah i guess we would have known more about living righteously instead of seeing that invasion and the laws of brutal men and twisted religions have only led to more loss destruction and sickness homelessness sick and injured peoples separation and isolation laws that sit well for those who charge for what they do yet suppress the people that work for an honest income and humble dwellings .. The Answer is LOVE everything and you might be half way to loving all that is created within this universe that we have barely begun to learn of...... No lust no desire no sloth no greed no gluttony no pride no envy .. just the beginning to perfect admiration and respect and acceptance of all that is life and differences that we need to acknowledge that they too live as they are deemed to .. May God bless you with whatever you need most in your life for you to see again without the prejudice that fills your mind with hate ..

No. Jesus teachings and mission pivoted on His goal: to become a willing sacrifice, innocent of wrongdoing, capable of taking away the sins of the world.

Dying of old age would not have fulfilled that goal. The entire Old Testament method of sacrifice would have been in vain. Instead, the ultimate sacrifice was made, according to proper Jewish law, in the Crucifixion of Jesus. Read Deuteronomy and Leviticus sometime (warning, it can be kind of gross...)

Then, there is the whole question of the Ressurection. But that is another topic.

learn St Thomas Aquinas . Nature of the Trinity Aquinas argued that God, at an identical time as completely united, is likewise completely defined with the help of three interrelated persons. those 3 persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) are constituted with the help of their family in the essence of God. the daddy generates the Son (or the understanding) with the help of the relation of self-understanding. this boundless era then produces an eternal Spirit "who enjoys the divine nature with the aid of fact the affection of God, the affection of the daddy for the understanding." This Trinity does not exist in separation from the international. on the different, the Trinity serves to talk God's self and God's goodness to people. This occurs in the process the Incarnation of the understanding interior the guy of Jesus Christ and in the process the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (certainly, the very essence of the Trinity itself) interior people who've experienced salvation with the help of God

If Jesus would have died of old age it would not have made the impact that it did. In those days there were a lot of false Prophets. Jesus was the only one that fulfilled and the prophecies of the Messiah in the old testament.

I believe they would. They would have to if da vinci and Aristotle and all the others have impact. The only difference is that without the shedding of his blood for our sins, we would still be living in old testament times burning offerings to the lord and be living under the law and not the grace dispensation era.

He came to fulfill prophesy and to face the wrath of God we were to face. Do you think Yeshua(Jesus) wanted to be tortured and crucified and worst of all seperate from His Father? Of course not. That's why it is called a sacrifice. He loved His Father so much and trusted His Father so much that He knew we would be redeemed by what He did. We all face death because of what we have done, but through Yeshua, we have hope, we have a promise from the Father that we will dwell with Him in His Kingdom. Don't be afraid of death, be afraid of being without God. Yeshua conquered death for all of us.

His crucifixion was so that our sins were paid for- so he could experience the worst pain known to man (physical and emotional and phsycological) and conquer death so we can live eternally.

I think if he had lived long and died of old age it would not have carried the same power as his short life and crucifixion.

And I also think that he needed to choose his path, old age would have taken that choice from him and killed him whether he chose to or not. He chose to go to the cross, he actually turned on his friends when they tried to save him from his death. I think it's important that he gave his life up for us, not just got old and died.
