I swear California suks. The only state in this nation with the most laws. But most of those so called laws are ignored. Like Everything thats in english is in Mexican. Bill Boards, DMV , you call DMV the answering service answers in Mexican first. There isn't anyplace in California that doesn't have plain english. If we were to go to any other country in the world and live we'd have to learn the way that they speak They aren't going to make a class just for me in a public or privite school to learn how to speak in their country...when is this going to stop. I was in class today and the teacher was trying to teach me Mexican so I can communicate to others in my school. screw that! I'm American I don't need to learn Mexican, They need to learn English. "DAMMIT"

I went to Spain once and everyone there spoke Mexican also..... Communication is the cornerstone of any civilization...... I do not plan to learn to speak Mexican or Korean or Swahili so I'd say anyone who wants to become a part of my civilization had better learn to speak American or else be prepared to stay on the bottom rung of our society..... To get a real job in our country you need to be able to communicate. It is unreasonable to think that everyone in an English speaking country is going to learn a new language just to accommodate you. The USA is a melting pot of many nationalities, religions and cultures and we all share two things ... a love of freedom and the ability to communicate in English..... SPEAK AMERICAN OR GO THE FU CK HOME!

I think english should be the official language in all of our 50 states. California is no exception to that. Therefore, offering public services in a language other than english is a public expense that should not be passed on to the taxpayers. Vote AGAINST catering to people that claim they want to emigrate, yet don't want to learn our language. California draws billions in tax money from the rest of the states every year, and they use it to
adopt every pair of shoes that shows up in their state, because they're governed by liberals that can't say 'no'. 'No mas' to illegal immigration...and 'si' to caps/limits on legal immigration also.

Next time listen to your teachers. By the way, are you talking about Spanish? Give us some links or proof about your argument. For now, I dont believe a word youre saying. As a matter of fact, I think the news would be having a field day as well as this immigration section if that were true.

SPANISH is just a subject in american schools, just as english is a subject in mexican schools, if you don't want a learn it, you don't have to do it, only professional people talk about how important it is to learn it.

sorry, but it does not state any where in the Constitution what language we speak. when we started out we had immigrant's from all over the world coming here. so they never stated that English is this country's language. but they do need to be legal.

Since when do I have to "dial "1" for English" I'm with you, It's pure B.S. I have refused to deal with people who speak Spanish, and been reprimanded for it.
