If the problem is that they don't pay taxes, just legalize them and that will solve that...

We are talking about INCOME taxes... more specifically PAYROLL taxes....This gives employers who hire illegals an unfair competitive advantage and deters employers in some market segments (such as landscaping and construction) from hiring legal citizens. many illegals are paid under the table which means they pay no payroll withholding or FICA or social security nor do their employers carry health insurance, unemployment insurance or Workman's compensation insurance. Still other illegals who are paid above board often claim an exempt status on their W4 form which means they never have any taxes withheld from their checks. It's time we close the borders using military force if necessary. Then we can decide what should be done with all of these law breaking free loaders. I say any of them who have criminal records in this country or their country of origin should be immediately expelled. Those with gainful employment and the ability to read and speak fluent English should be given the opportunity to apply for conditional citizenship. And those who employ illegals should be heavily fined or thrown in jail.
