Lots of confusion here.
There is only 1 God = Father
We are NOT to worship Jesus, even he stated that. Mat. 6:9 Lords prayer.
Jesus made a distiction between them; John 17:3 Learn of God and Christ.
Why the confusion?
Partly because of the difference between only-begotten and Firstborn.
Only-begotten = Jesus was created by God alone.
Firstborn = There were other sons.
Col. 1:14-17 indicates Jesus is a creation that is an exact image of God. A reflection of his being. (Heb. 1:3) Col. 1:15,16 also indicate he actually made all things, yet the bible NEVER credits him as creator because he is a master worker and shared with his father in making all things except God and himself.
John 1:1-3 refers to Jesus as the Word = spokesman for God, but no where does it refer to 3 beings. A mis-translation of that verse has caused much confucsion. "...and the word was god". Many translations indicate he was a godlike being, or of divine nature, not the father.
However in the light of what Paul stated in Colossians John 1:1-3 becomes chrystal clear.
Father = God
Jesus = Son
Trinity doctrine predates Christianity and was amalgamated into it's teachings.

The Bible says that Jesus is God's only begotten son.
(Begotten meaning that Jesus was born into this world as a human.)
But the Biblical doctrine of the Trinity tells us that Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are God, much the same as man is a three-part being; Body, mind, and soul.
So the logic is that Jesus, as the second person of the Trinity is God. And this second person of the Trinity has the ability to manifest Himself as a human being, hence, Jesus the man, and Jesus as God also.
Hope this helps at least a little.

To worship Jesus is to honor God. Jesus is the spirit of God.. ie the holy spirit. I thank God for giving us his son, and at the end of those prayers I say "In the name of Jesus" in honor of the fact that he sent his son to die for our sins. Not because I worship the lord as our god, He is our salvation. God is Jesus, Jesus is not God. The men want a physical manifestation because without it they are scared. But worshipping Jesus as God is like saying Mary Magdelene was a prostitute. Those are man's words your reading, you have to look past the pride and the insecurities and feel the heart of the doctrine.

Same what?
The Father and I are one
One what?
Did you know that John 10:30 can correctly be translated:
"I and the Father are one (thing)"
or
"I and the Father are in unity"
This is a big difference to the idea
I and the Father are one (person). not taught.
Jehovah is a spirit, Jesus is a spirit, the angels are spirits, therefore in a sense they are the same.
Jesus has been given Jehovah's holy spirit to accomplish Jehovah's will.
Jesus is an image of God (Col. 1:15)
an exact representation of his Father (Heb 1:3)
as an image and representation of his Father, If you see Jesus you've seen the Father.

Because Jesus is God. He was with God at the beginning of Creation and He even appeared with God and The Holy Spirit, in the form of men to Abraham and Sarah in the Old Testament.

The answer to your question lies in the Book of John Chapter one verse one.
Jesus Christ is the Word of God. Have you ever given your word to someone? Like, I'll be there first thing in the morning. Or, Be right back. Or, you can count on me to help you.
You did not give part of your body to these people did you? Yet they believed you and trusted you for the word you gave them.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Now go and read the rest of the chapter and feel good about what you have learned this day.><>

This is a simple way to say it. God is spirit. God placed a part of his spirit inside Mary's egg. This quickened the egg to life, and caused it to grow into a human. The only spirit/ soul this human had was God's spirit. That is how God and Jesus are one and the same. The body form known as Jesus could not have survived with out the spirit of God living inside of him.

God is in Jesus and Jesus in God. That is why we worship Jesus, because he is God in the flesh. He came here to save us from our sins and give us eternal life with him.

Christian's belive in God as a community (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) look up the doctrine of the Trinity. YOu are taking "Gods son" in the literal sence as if Jesus is the son of God. He is part of the Godhead.
If you like, email me.

the reason is because God is made up of three parts God the father is who we worship,God the son which is Jesus is who we ask to save us, and God the spirit which is the holy spirit which fills us. so you see God is three parts that make one God
