I am pro immigration simply for the reasons you mentioned.
Of course, I should also say that since America is diverse and special do to its immigration (starting with the White founders on down) it would be racist, classist, elitist and wrong to stop immigration simply because the people are poor and non white.

I'm Pro Immigration, and all these people getting on their soapboxes about how they support LEGAL immigration need to examine the FREAKING HISTORY of the United States. The immigration laws in this country have become ridiculous, I mean absolutely unrealistic and outdated. Throughout history all kinds of minorities, whether it be the Irish, the Italians, the Chinese, the English have come into this country in waves, and none of them had to go through this political bull$hit that the current generation of immigrants are being forced to undergo. It is impossible to go through the "legal" process and become an immigrant, and this junk about the U.S. legalizing 1 million people a year is absurd. 1 million people is nothing in this enormous continent. I think that the laws needed to be changed to make it easier for people of all nationalities (not just Mexican, which I am not for your info), to come to this country if they choose to work hard, contribute to society, and become a integral part of the fabric of America. That's my take on it and I think its pretty realistic, seeing as there are 12 Million illegals here now, id say thats a low estimate, id shoot for 20.

Volleyball, you obviously nothing about economic theory with the last statement you made, just wanted to let you know that.
P.S. Thats an awesome testimony Bunt, I'm glad your speaking up about the injustice that is occuring. Look at the huge amount of illegals flooding europe, but its all good Europe needs it, I see no problem in it whatsoever, as long as they become law abiding members of society. Bunt, contact me on here if you get a chance send me a message! :)

you're no longer the only one experiencing the gadget defects - being directed to the place you probably did no longer desire to circulate and so on. and it rather is all 'extra desirable than somewhat stressful'. all the topics with the positioning, plus the unfair deletions and thumbing down for no reason are utilising people away. it rather is not the happy place it was once. i don't comprehend no remember if the topics are basically with Senior voters or no remember if all categories are an identical. in the different categories they simply look to ask and answer while we respond to a minimum of one yet another extra. possibly that's what Yahoo do in comparison to and that they are manipulating an in depth down of this class. My guess is that the advertisers (Yahoo's important source of income) don't have a clue what is going on. they had pull the plug in the event that they knew the quantity of the topics and the numbers leaving (except it rather is going on purely in this class).

First off, I am pro IMMIGRATION, but anti ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. Just wanted to make that very clear to you right off the bat. Why? That is the most recent "trick" that the pro illegal immigration people are using to make us against it look like a bunch of bigots.
#1: While I will not disagree with you about the War in Iraq, I don't think the Bush Administration is using it for a "scapegoat". On the contrary, they are wishing it would go away because it is a political quandry. If they do things to stop it, they risk alienating the hispanic votes (and there are a lot of them). If they do nothing, well, I believe the last poll had 80 % of the US public is against illegal immigration. So it puts all politicians in a pickle.
#2: They have been singing that song and dance about the "minority" becoming the "majority" for years. I don't care where I stand racially. All I am saying is that the people that immigrate here do so in a legal fashion. What does the minority rate have to do with immigration??
#3: I was not raised to think I am supreme or better than anyone else on this earth. I was brought up to treat everyone equally, and not to judge others by appearance. And I have tried to live my life in that manner. It is easy to sit and call those against illegal immigration RACIST, but you forget 2 things with that: 1. Illegal immigrants are ALL RACES, since they are from all over the world and all nations, and 2. If you are referring to the Mexican Immigrants, then you must realize that Mexico is a nation, not a race; therefore, one can not be RACIST to a NATIONALITY. I don't want immigration to stop - I just want everyone to come here LEGALLY. That is all I am asking - what part of ILLEGAL do you not get????
#4: That one is just plain STUPID. I can't even to begin to justify that with an answer. It seems like your argument is running out of steam here. . .
It is easy to accuse those against illegal immigration racist (which is not true at all), but all it amounts to is a "fear tactic". How? Well, people think others will back down if you call them racist for fear of the stigma. But the problem with that here is that most are not being racist by opposing ILLEGAL immigration due to the illegals being from all over the world in every race, religion, sex and economic standing. Illegal is just that - illegal. It is AGAINST the LAW. Allowing one type of criminal to go free and not another would upset our judicial system. If you allow someone to go free and not be punished simply because they are poor, then you would have to go through the prison system and allow those free that broke the law due to their economic standing (the thieves, burglars, drug dealers and addicts, hookers, and so on. . .). A lot of prisoners would go free, and you would be dealing with quite a crime rate. Criminals should be punished. Coming into this country illegally is a CRIME, and it should be punished with DEPORTATION.
I do not fear change - I WELCOME it. That is what makes life so great is that you don't know what is coming at you tomorrow. But I think it is the easy way out to up and leave your country because you don't like your life there, and then go into another country illegally because you don't like the fact that there is criteria for getting into the country. We do not have endless resources and jobs - they will all run out someday. What are you going to do then when everything is gone, and the illegal immigrants have used up all of our government resources, and the jobs, and the public assistance, and have what is left of the housing and land? Are you going to leave and end up an illegal immigrant in another country? Do you realize that all countries have laws governing who gets into their country, and one must go through a lot of red tape to get in? The US is just like every other country in the world - except we have people that think we should allow everyone in no matter what. The freeflow will kill this country economically.
So there is your answer.

America was based on immigration. We're all mutts. Personally I think that America needs to get off their high horse and welcome in these people. The tougher you make it to get in here, the more people are just going to try to do it anyway.
Totally agree with your statements though. Americans fear change and everything that's different. Remember--those immigrants are "stealing" the jobs from "hard-working American-born patriots!" It's kind of funny to think about how amazinly conversation our country has become.

#1 Bush doesn't use us as scapegoats-it's exactly Bush who insists on resolving the immigration problem:12mln decent people starnded here without seing out families for many years just because the US govmt won't give us a leagl status!
#3Drunk drivig is a bigger crime than living on expired visa! There are a million illegals form Europe, so don't tell me this is a racial issue. I'm illegal and I am whiter than you.
And I'm illegal because your laws don't allow me to be legal. Evryone wants to be legal.

I am a legal immigrant. But about illegal immigration, don't blame the people, they are trying to find better life I guess. The government let to be illegal immigration and it has to solve the problem in a human and respectful way.

I am definitely none of the above - and I am Pro LEGAL immigration also. If you want to live here, go through the proper legal channels - don't sneak in here, and then become a drain on my tax dollars. My family just came here in the last 100 years - and did it legally. It's not hard if you put your mind to it.
