Make an appointment to see your doctor. In the meantime keep a record of when the headaches happen, how long they last, what makes them better, what makes them worse. Describe the sensations numbness, tingling, diziness, visual aberration. Describe the location, temple, half of head, back of head. The more accurately you are able to describe your headaches, the more easily the physician can diagnose and treat your problem. You may have to have several tests or the diagnosis may be simple, but do see your physician.

If you think that it is the early stage of a blood clot I would suggest that you see a doctor very quickly because blot clots can travel to your heart and kill you. If you think thats what it is see a doctor at once.

This happened to me awhile back. It ended up being that the muscles in my upper back were so tight they were pinching a nerve in my neck and that was causing the side of my head to swell and me to have very bad headaches.

You may want to see your Dr about this. Could be anything, really. I'd see the doc just to be sure.
