Do you realise that these evolutionist think that a fossil was formed by laying out in the dirt and wind for thousands of years?

That is impossible. (proven by actual demonstrable, and measurable science) (the real stuff). So why is it they the atheists believe in billions of years of time. (please do not spout out any fairy tales about proven this or proven that because you all know that it is STILL merely theory). I hope the atheists can let go of their bong long enough to answer. lookin forward to it?

just so you know us "creationists" know that it happened in the flood..

Your point is valid but as a "creationist” I assume you believe in the God that created it all. I am a Christian and I don't feel that it is appropriate for you to belittle or mock those who don't believe. We should love them and pray that they find the LOVE we know.

This passage speaks of idols but the meaning can be applied elsewhere 1 Cor 8:1 With regard to food sacrificed to idols, we know that “we all have knowledge.” Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. 8:2 If someone thinks he knows something, he does not yet know it to the degree that he needs to know. 8:3 But if someone loves God, he is known by God.

Love in Christ,
Tink

I suppose I should start this by stating that I am not an atheist. I am Christian. I am not, however, a "Scientific Creationist".

The comment that "evolutionists think a fossil was formed by laying out in the dirt and wind for thousands of years" is wrong. The process of fossil formation is a good deal more complex than that, which is why so few of them are formed. I'll try to put a link at the bottom that discusses it more fully.

Truthfully, it bothers me when Christians do this. It's like the whole "the second law of thermodynamics prohibits evolution" argument. It doesn't, and making that claim shows a fundamental misunderstanding of the second law. This has been pointed out time and time again, to little effect.

The Lord God Almighty is a God of truth - He doesn't need us to lie for Him, and He certainly doesn't need us making claims that brand all Christians as scientific illiterates.

Evolutionists do not think fossils were formed by anything, dude. Fossils are preserved bones and anyone that denies the existence of said bones is not religious but insane. On the other hand, fossils do not prove that creation did not happen. We were created in G-d's image but that does not need to mean physical appearance. If it did then G-d would be Caucassian as well as African American, and all the other races in between. We were created in his likeness: spiritual -which means we can grow and evolve. As for the flood, unfortunately no one has proven that anymore than they have disproven it and we don't have diplodocuses, and other manner of dinosaurs hanging around so that means that at some point before or after the flood evolution had to take place and before you accuse me of using a bong, extinction is an evolutionary concept and we know even today animals can and become extinct. That which does not work in nature becomes extinct but that does not detract from G-d being the creator for after creating light the Bible says "and G-d saw it was good" which means he was experimenting as well as creating and why not? we do that and we were created in his likeness.

Wow, you're totally confused. If you had actually ever paid any attention to what archeologists say, you would know that they have stated the case for the rarity of fossils even better than you did! The rarity of fossil creation is why there are gaps in the archeological record of Evolution!

We only get fossils under the rare conditions of things like mud slides that shield the remains from the wind and rain. Fossils are not the original organic materials (i.e. real bone) but are instead the fossilized -- converted to stone. This happened very rarely but is the only way that bones survive over the millenia.

I want to finish by pointing out that you are bearing false witness. You are spreading lies. You may think you are serving your God by doing so, but if there is a God, and the God values truth, then you are not serving your God.

Rapidly, because generally that's the only way the animal's bones are preserved from the elements long enough to fossilize. However, the problem with YOUR claim is that, if all those life forms had been created in a single day, ex nihilo, by a god or gods, we should see fossilized rabbits mixed in with those Cambrian trilobite fossils. But we have never, ever, ever seen such a juxtaposition of fossils of both modern and ancient animals.

and where's the proof of the flood? there are lots more people out there who accept that the bible is just theory, my friend. i'm not against religion, i'm just not for people who want to bash upon other people with comments like yours.

and i've never seen, nor heard, any proof against the widely accepted "theory" of how fossils were formed. you have no sources, and there is no way this demonstrable and measurable science can recreate an accurately controlled experiment to prove or disprove fossilization without having an INCREDIBLE amount of time, or else all the variables cannot be in place to disprove this.

how can you believe without spouting out fairy tales about proven this or proven that in creationism? there are far more theories that support evolution than the faith based creationism. that's why it's a faith, b/c there's no concrete evidence.

Fossils are usually covered by some substance that protects the bones for the elements. I think the age of fossils is found by how much radioactive substance it is made of. Radioactive substances have half life's which means that half of the substance decays to stabler elements at predictable rates. Well that's how I think it the age of fossils are determined. Also if creationists are right how come there are no dinosaurs? You should probably ask this question on the science board.

Where is your demonstrable, measurable science? You've provided about as much proof as most creationists have given for anything (my god created it, my god inspired men to write it, I killed them because of divine right). Most science acknowledges that it is theoretical and relies on a series of proofs to give those theories creedence. It also acknowledges that we don't know everything and are constantly working to increase our knowledge about the workings of the universe around us.
Prove that "the flood" happened. Somehow. Someway. You can't. There is no historical or scientific way to prove it. Yet. There may be at some point. Until then, all you have is a book. Written by men. Interpreted and re-interpreted by men through the years. And there is next to no provable history in the older books of it.

Well, while I don't disagree that the flood caused much of the so called fossil record, perhapes you could give some of this 'real' science, instead of insulting atheists. Is this message for them, or other people like yourself who prefer not to ask yourself the hard questions? I am a Christian and a Creationist. I also have many friends who disagree with me and I love them and we are able to have real, meaningful, hardhitting discussions about the subject. You really offend me and I do not believe you are serving anyone but you and your ego.

If an atheist looses his hand in a chain saw accident, why are the first words out of his mouth (Oh God) or something with the word God in it.

Talking an Atheist about proof, is like putting make up on a fat chick, it's just a waste of make up.

I don't call myself an Atheist. I'm not sure what I believe. But from what I understand, fossils are formed when they are covered by layers and layers of sediment. After thousands of years the actual bone is replaced by minerals in the rock. What is found is not an actual "bone". It is a sort of mineral "impression" of what was buried there.
