God has told us through the Bible etc how he wants us to live but he also gave us freedom of choice as well as the ability to ask for forgiveness and be redeemed through his son Jesus Christ who died for our sins. He has shown the way but leaves the way and the path to us we have but to follow it. But below here are a few good verses to remember

Okay...so, by your way of thinking, a person who smokes is destroying God's temple and lung cancer would be God's way to destroy that person.
How then would you explain non-smoking, vegetarian, environmentalist types who still come down with lung cancer? What are they being punished for?
If God's spirit is living "through" us, by the way, I'd like to know why the spirit can't keep so many off of antidepressents.
(I'm not atheist or agnostic, BTW...I just find trouble following your logic.)

All are not God's temple. For the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who went out to sown seeds of wheat, but when everyone was asleep, his enemies scattered seeds of weeds. The following day a servant asked, "Didn't you scatter good seed on your field? Why then are there weeds along with the wheat sprouts?" And the man aswered, "my enimies have done this." The servant asked, "Do you want us to pull the weeds out? And the man answered, "No, you might pull the good roots trying to pull the bad. Let them grow together. When harvest comes, I will have the harvesters seperate them, bundle the weeds to be burned, then bundle the good crop and put them in my barn." This is how the world is and this is how it will be harvested.

God doesn't destroy us for what we do to our body's, but he does allow us to go through difficulties for what we do with them. Yes our bodies are God's temples, but, even if we make bad choices with what we put in our bodies, God will not destroy us.

Yes if you are a child of God his spirit lives in us.But it is a true child of God.God will destory anything or anyone that destroy his temple.God will not stay in a unclean temple.To know to do good and not to do good God doesn't like it.

yes we are GOD,s temple but he does not destroy us . he restores us.i am a christian and i smoke and i have lung deiase and congestive heart failur but GOD has given me 5 years more than my doctors did. and my health is getting better everyday. I PRAISE JESUS FOR GIVING ME LIFE TWICE IN MY LIFE TIME.

If we are all God's Temple if he destroyed someone wouln't he be destroying his own temple?

Thanks for the reminder, Daniel. But the only people who have the indwelling of hte Holy Spirit are believers, True Christians. Not all mankind.
