I smoke, so don't feel bad. But it's a good thing to stop.
God is more concerned about your soul. Don't let people judge you, because everyone has some sort of habit. It's like a 300 pound person that over eats....then telling you smoking is wrong.
If we continue to smoke, we may get to heaven a lot quicker, lol
Peace be with you.

What does smoking have to do with being a Christian? Why would you even think that it has and influence on whether or not a person who smokes would not be allowed into Heaven?
People have smoked since the time of Sir Walter Rawley. Many have gone on to be with the Lord. Many have gone on to be held for judgment.
Its not a matter of what you do, its a matter that when you do something that you believe is wrong and are having trouble with quiting you turn it over to God to help you. He can do anything.
Everyday is a good day when Jesus Christ is in your life. God may have a need for you to be in the situation you are in for a purpose. Pray that you be in His Will. If something offends Him, He is going to let you know right away.
You live your life and let other live theirs. Praise God daily and thank Him for allowing you to be part of this final end time. He's on His way back real soon. Don't concern yourself too much with the world but to be pleasing to Him that created you.><>

I am not convinced that smoking is a sin. I understand the argument that your body is a holy temple, and anything you do to damage that temple could be considered sinful, but then again there are so many things we do which are unhealthy... Here is what I think; if you feel that God has put it on your heart to quit smoking, then you should make every effort to quit. I, myself, am not a smoker, never have been. But there are other things I do that some would consider to be sinful, such as drink occasional alcohol in moderation.
Read Romans chapter 14. Paul goes through a rather long dissertation that basically says if your faith convinces you something is wrong, don't do it. But if someone tells you something is wrong (talking questionable things here, smoking, drinking in moderation, etc not the big things like premarital sex, abortion, etc) and you don't think it is, just don't do it around that person.
So, yes, a smoker can go to heaven just like anyone else as long as they accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior. Smoking is bad for you physically, no doubt, and God would most likely like you to quit because He knows it is bad for you. But, well, read the above for my opinion.

I believe that there are many Christians that smoke.... and cuss, and overeat, and gossip, and and and.....
We are all trying to overcome sin. It doesn't happen immediately, what does happen immediately is the power in us, through Jesus to conquer sin. Is there some that can be conquered easier than others , absolutely. Should you quit, probably.
Pray that you can be more than a conqueror over the cigarettes, and you will be...
An ex smoker, that loves Jesus

I think a cigarette smoker can go to Heaven. I think the ones that should be asking that question are the ones who added nicotine to the cigarettes.
Just continue to pray and your prayer will be answered. God will show you a way out of this if you want it bad enough.

The answer is very plain (no ) the bible plainly states that your body is the temple of God and cigarettes is unclean to the temple.God will not have any thing to do with anything that will defile the temple. If you pray and ask God to forgive you and mean it from your heart he will forgive you.But when you pick them back up and you said you fell bad over it that is the Holy Ghost telling you it is wrong. In other words God is telling you NO!

Personally, I think the big man upstairs will still let you in.
Even so, smoking is REALLY bad for you, and God did say to treat your body as a temple. It's meant to be used to honor Him, so you should take good care of it, and I don't think smoking qualifies.
My Grandma died of lung cancer that spread to her brain when she was in her seventies, even though she hadn't smoked in several decades. It can happen to anyone. It's not worth the risk. Even though you might be fine now, it's something that can do serious damage later on. Quitting is the best thing you can do for yourself, your family, AND God. Good luck, you're in my prayers.

Only if heaven has a smoking section otherwise you'll have to finish your ciggerette in purgatory - and don't throw the butts on the ground either!

Smoking isn't sinful unless:
You knowingly disregard youre own health, knowing that taxpayers will eventually pay for your hospitalisation.
You knowingly harm others with your smoke.
You knowingly endanger others' lives by smoking in bed.
You knowingly throw butts into the gutter, where they get washed into waterways and harm fish and make it unpleasant for others. There are probably more examples too.

It is recommended that you avoid tobacco for your temporal or earthly well being. It doesn't have the change the type of person you are. It doesn't have to change you spiritually. Does God care about your health? Of course. So try to do better for yourself, but don't worry about heaven.
