Have you had really bad sinus infections?? Go and check it out with your family doc. MRI's and other scans are not necessary at this point. Figure out the obvious connections before you jump into anything else. Don't put your cart in front of the horse! Good luck!

Generally, the largest symptom of a brain tumor, is a constant headache, due usuallyto pressure building up in the brain. A brain tumor can cause so many different thigns from people bending over backwards literally after banging their knee, to having a seizure. The most general symptom though, is a constant headache that NEVER goes away. and I mean never.

Symptoms vary, size and location have a lot to do with how a brain tumor presents. The most common symptoms are as follows:
Headaches
Nausea and vomiting
Seizures
Weakness
Vision problems
Confusion
Difficulty with memory or ability to understand
Decreased level of consciousness
Check out BNI.com. Lots of good info. They took my brain tumor out. But like most people have said, by all means get checked out by a doctor

What you need is MRI brain with and without GAD. Just to rule out the possibility. Most of your symptoms can be explained away, but "smelling this strange scent everywhere" is a little wierd and sometimes can be a precursor to a seizure. Just do it to be on the safe side.

The most common symptoms include headaches, which can be most severe in the morning; nausea or vomiting, which can be most severe in the morning; seizures or convulsions; difficulty thinking, speaking, or finding words; personality changes; weakness or paralysis in one part or one side of the body; loss of balance; vision changes; confusion and disorientation; and memory loss. Different parts of the brain control different functions, so symptoms will vary depending on the tumor’s location.
While these are the most common symptoms of a brain tumor, they can also indicate other medical problems. If you are having any of these symptoms, it is important to see your doctor and get a definitive diagnosis.

I agree with the other person, go have a cat scan to rule out anything potentially bad. If there is something there, you won't know unless you have this procedure.
I had one done on my head less than a week ago because I have persistent headaches every day. Added to that was the worry I might have had an aneurysm growing in there (my mother died from one). It's been a constant anxiety for me for 11 years, but the scan showed no abnormalities - thankfully it doesn't scan personalities ;-)
Good luck to you and I hope you are okay.

Is the scent simular to whiskey? Sometimes when you are diabetic you can have this fruity liqour smell on your breath. When your sugar is elevated I think. As for the "sparkle like figure" go check out AURA before migraine. Also check out Sheerers Syndrome. My hubby had a brain tumor and his most troubling problems were dibilitating headaches, weakness, loss of muscle function, slurred speech, numbness and tingling in his hands and face. Not to scare you but he had to have brain surgery because it was cancer... so PLEASE dont hesitate to go and have a CT scan or MRI. He gets that spark like figure, but he describes it like a calidescope (sp) with rainbow effects... he has swelling in his brain... but it has been 4 years since the brain surgery... anyway! Dont take it lightly!

Most often there are no symptoms until the late stages. Usually they are new severe headaches, cognitive changes, or you just collapse.
