I think that racial profiling is a useful tool.

Stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason. The great majority of terrorist attacks are being perpetrated by people of Arab/Middle Eastern descent. Of course more attention is going to paid to those folks who "look" the part, and it's naive and stupid to think, or even hope, otherwise.

On the other side of the issue, if most terrorist attacks were perpetrated by blonde haired, blue eyed 20-30 year old women, I would fully expect to be targeted. But, they're not, so I'm not.

profiling is 100% legal, it is used everyday in filling jobs at universities, fire and police departments. "Affirmative Action" happens all the time. White Males are profiled against everyday, if we can take it, so can the terrorists.
