halloween is the best! I already have my decorations up! To Aslan who said that Halloween is satanic, you are wrong my friend....halloween is derived from pagan rituals, which are not satanic....current media and people like you only perpetuate this common misinformation.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!! :)

I love Halloween (Christmas is my favorite though). My family all get together and have dinner and then we take the kids trick or treating. It's always a secret who is dressing up as what. Even my husband and I dress up (we were Shrek and Fiona last year, and it was a HIT with all the trick or treaters) and my cousins dress up as well---in a family theme. We make the most out of it and know that it's something our children will cherish for a lifetime!!!

HAVE FUN, BE SAFE!

I absolutely love halloween because I went in labor with my smallest child on halloween while my husband and I took our other two trick or treating so now we have a really big halloween party and invite a lot of children have games and decorate our house inside and out. We decorate the inside of our garage and we have a haunted trail for big kids and we also have one just for small kids because I know how terrifying it is when you are small.

I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!! It's my favorite holiday! It's magical, it's fun, it's colorful, it's exciting, and it's scary! There's candy, good food, parties, friends, crafts, fairs, costumes -- What's NOT to love!? I go insane with my costume every year. I have an aunt who's a professional costumer, so she helps me make them from scratch - and she makes them look much better than I could on my own! My favorite part about it is the mystery, the magic surrounding the holiday. And its history is also rich and intriguing. Basically, it's just the best day ever. Period.

personally i would be happy if Halloween were banned outright

the idea of 'trick or treat' means that many elderly people (including my 70something in-laws) dread this time of year

not answering the door often means that old people wake up the following day only to find an egged house that needs cleaning up - a lot of fun when you have arthritis!

also when my son was small - some halloweeners knocked on the door and my son (aged 4) opened the door (after we told him NOT to) and i heard him yell the house down because of the scary masks being worn

also the whole genre of the day means that we get it for about 2 weeks beforehand also so we have to not answer the door to anyone after dark - talk about being held under siege in your own home

and don't we tell our kids NOT to take sweets from strangers? so why is Halloween so different?

the occultic origins are also something not to be encouraged among our children also - i am sure that someone else who has done the research can give you a more informed warning on dabbling in such matters which often lead to mental illness later on in life

I love it! It's my favorite holiday! Who doesn't enjoy dressing up and having fun in a costume? Personally, I like to dress up in a homemade costume and go around scaring people all night long.

I do! Getting new decorations this year. My son is 11 now and the ones we have are childish. He want skulls and spider webs and things that glow. I put my decorations up a week before October and take them down a week after. Orange is my favorite color.

Christmas is my next favorite as far as decorations go.
