Is masturbation a sin? Can you give me verses and stuff in the Bible so I can read it?

Jesus said that lust was a sin. Jam 1:14 but each man is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. ASV Mat 5:28 but I say unto you, that every one that looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. ASV Gen 38:8-11 talks against spilling seed referring to ejaculation.

The ancient Hebrew speaking people of the Old Testament had some pretty weird prohibitions and phobias, but none of that stuff really has anything to do with the real world. In the ancient world, the Hebrew folks were a teeny tiny minority and nobody but them cared what they thought or what happened to them. So don't worry about sin. Just don't hurt people unless they ask you to.

Give me a break. Is lusting a sin? Is murder a sin? What do you think? You have a conscience don't you? Would you masturbate in front of your mother? I hope not. That might give you a clue on if it's sinful or not. Remember if you are a believer, God is with you at all times. Yes, even right beside you. Stop lusting and start focusing that energy on God.

You don't need a book or others to tell you if something is a sin or not. It is up to you to decide and since you are not hurting others, I would say it is not. If God didn't want us to masturbate, He would have made our arms shorter - from the wisdom of George Carlin.

I'm sorry I don't have bible verses, but here's what I think. If you are married and your spouse is gone, say like mine is deployed to Iraq right now. I would want him to masterbate and think of me. So if you are married and you are thinking of your spouse and far away for a long time, then yes, you can masterbate.
