if you think you are ready to take that little step, then go for it. I can't really tell you how you should do it cause if the time is right it will all come together nicely. No matter how little of a step it is, kissing carries a lot of weight too. A lot of people have diseases, and some don't know it, but for the ones that do, there's no guarantee that they'll tell you. I personally don't think you should kiss him on the first date, but if you chose to, try to make sure he's clean and you can trust him before you do it.

It sounds to me that this is going to be your first kiss... How wonderful.

If you haven't shared this secret with your friend, it would probably be easier on you to let him in on things. He won't mind being your first - I promise you that - and if he's a nice guy, (which I assume he is, or you wouldn't be accepting his invitation,) he's very likely to be patient and understanding about you're apprehensiveness.

Since a girl's first kiss is something that she'll remember forever, ask your friend to be kind and to let it be a very sweet memory for both of you. You might also ask him to keep a promise of trust between you, that he will be a gentleman and not share the details of this private moment with other people... that it's okay to say, "We kissed," but that saying more than that is nobodies business but his and yours. And here's a tip to keep the moment from being awkward for you: if your kiss is lasting longer than it takes to count to ten, it's probably time to come up for air.

Once you're past the jitters, I think you'll be very likely to find out that you've enjoyed yourself and then I hope you'll tell your friend and perhaps decide to share a second kiss... one of friendship, trust, thanks and happiness - it's often even better than the first.

Best wishes to you and your friend.

Never kiss on the first date. Tell him you really like him, but that you just have a rule about that. Tell him that you will kiss him next friday. That way you get a second date. If he gives you crap about it, just grin and say- some things are worth waiting for.

oh gawd...don't you kiss him. You'll seem desperate. Wait for him to make the first move. If he doesn't, then maybe it's just not the right time yet. Things like this need to happen naturally. Don't force the issue. Relax and if it's meant to happen, it'll happen. If you spend all night waiting for "the kiss" the good time you might have had will be ruined.

And I agree...keep your knees together!

I assume that you are under 18. Don't let your boyfriend kiss you. Don't give away your innocence to someone who will not be around in 5 or 10 years. I am the father of three girls, 18, 16, and 7 years old. I have given the same advice to them. The older girls have thanked me.

Yes, 2 weeks without kissing, nice. I say kiss him and go with the flow. If he uses the tongue so should you.

Sounds like someone has never been kissed before. Just let him make the first move. Wait till his lips touch yours, close your eyes, and let nature take over. It will be easy you will see.

First kiss? Just go with the flow and enjoy it. Don't be tense. If you think it might help, practice on your hand.
