This is wrong, How can you do that to her? She will leave you for someone who believes she is more than someone you use. When you guys watch sports and ignore her your treating her like crap. she is not something that you just ignore, she is not something you throw away. she is your woman and she deserves respect. Just remember what goes around comes right back.

i gave up trying to get guys to give up sports to pay attention to me, but i look at it this way, it's only a couple of hours, i could use the time to be alone or with friends, and at least he's home watching tv, instead of out with someone else. The other thing is, you could watch it with him, (football season is now, and the guys wear really cute tight pants....... :) ) just look for something about it that can interest you a little, and he'll probably start talking about it, and then the subject gets off track...... changed..... and then it's no longer an issue.

Its really no different then when like my hubby is playing WoW or some other game. I think it's just that he gets so into the game that he's playing/watching/whatever that he tunes everything else out around him. I dunno if it's a guy thing or what, but when my hubby is so focused on something like that.. I hafta throw a shoe at him or some other kind of physical act to kind of 'kick him out' of his concentration.
I agree with what someone else wrote, ask him about it, NOT DURING IT, but before or after. Find out why he's so into it, and like someone else wrote, maybe even make an attempt to watch it and understand it yourself.
My hubby loves hockey. Before I met him, I didn't know anything about it except that it had something to do with being on the ice. But when I asked him about it, he was happy to tell me what it was all about, a few things here and there, and we watched a few games together. With me watching he explained things as the game went, and I got into it as much as he did. Now I scream at the tv during hockey season as much as he does. We both have favorite teams, and not necessarily the same ones.
So ask him about it (not when it's on remember!) and you'll be surprised at his response I think.

All of a sudden, a woman is nowhere near as exciting as the pigskin, the horsehide or the rubber.

Men should try to include women into this enclave, or at least step away and spend some time with her.

Do you REALLY have to watch the Pirates and the Royals in interleague play?

Give them a break. I'm not saying that sports should consume all of a man's free time, but a college game on Saturday, or an NFL game on Sunday or Monday night isn't unreasonable. We spend that much time doing our thing as well. It could be a lot worse. There should be a happy medium.

In defense of the men who love to watch sports.........Ladies, when men are watching sports they are FOCUSED on that. When you want to talk with them during this focus, you may as well be talking to a rock. It's not good or bad........it just IS. Leave them alone and let them watch in peace and grab thier attention when the game is over.

Well I'm a girl...........but hon, I am REALLY into my sports and I'm SURE that I'm guilty of ignoring a "man" while my Cowboys are playing ............I had one over last night (during the game) and my EYES were on that TV!!! .....and I didn't even answer the phone (during the game) either...lol!

But!!! He wouldn't have been there if He wasn't a Cowboy fan, also.....

I made up for it later, after they got beat, tho...lol !!!

girls are around all the time. good sports on tv doesn't come on as often. some girls need to respect their man and their needs. guys cannot pay attention to their girlfriends 24/7. they need time to be with their buddies and alone, too.
