i figured out how to do a basement in sims 2, and how to do floating houses, but know i want to try something more complex,

how do you do a sunken living room or split level house, can it be done? can you give the steps or a link to where i can find the steps to do it?
thanks in advance!

I've got a couple houses that have a simple sunken room, at one end of the room. Very useful in a one story house if you're tired of toddlers playing in the toilet- works cos they can't do stairs. All I did was dig with the elevation shovel in homes that didn't have foundations, but you can do fancier ones.

One tutorial for fancy style, needs cheats

There were several sunken room tutorials on the offical site. Go to the exchange and look for 'stories' and do a slightly refined search on the 'how to/tutorials' to find sunken rooms. The area is down at the moment or I'd give a better link.

Or just google it :)

hey a fellow sims 2 player! i'm not sure how to answer your question so i will refer you to a sims 2 website that features players doing custom made houses, furniture, mods, etc. it's a very exciting site that could probably help you out in getting the best out of your game.
