they did so much preplanning for this, was there any rhyme or reason to the day the chose to do this. I know it was a very clear day that day weather wise but any significance to the date etc?

Seriously, the plan, men & materials were ready by that time. There was nothing special about the date. Later attacks as in London and Madrid did use the 11th as a copy cat date.

I've been on a few websites, and there is speculation that the day 9/11/2001 was picked for a reason. Go to the site below for more details--it's kind of creepy, actually.

well because of 911 may b? i think that has something to do with it. 911 and 9/11. you see the similarities? as for the year i dont kno. i dont think they wanted to wait any longer than they have to.
