people are afraid of anyone that is different. just because a person is "goth" doesn't mean they're devil worshipers. apparently no one wants youth to be individuals and express themselves. that's what people are afraid, people are afraid of what they don't understand. can't we all just get along?

Haha! You people are scary : o lol.

My best friend is a goth and she gothed me out when we went to the mall, i actually kind of enjoyed people moving out of my way when i was walking :) Plus i don't know about you, but she tries to scare people sometimes. It's hilarious, i love seeing people's reactions. The thing that annoyed me most was people asking us why we were goth... i wanted to ask them why they had blonde hair. Or why the decided to wear pink that day. Grrr.

I do feel bad that she can't really get a boyfriend bc people are scared of her. I mean she's extremely funny and outgoing, but we live in nowheresville so the closest male goth is 30 miles away. People should be nicer you're right, i haven't actually met a mean goth yet. Emos on the other hand there are way to many bastards in that category :)

I just don't understand goths. I that they dress and act the way they do because they are socially inadequate or just want to seem different than everyone else. I'm not afraid of them though. I just don't really have anything in common with them.

My daughter has become a Goth! Ha, I love my daughter very much, she is the apple of my eye. Yes, she dresses strange (to me, an old fogie) but she is a good daughter and I don't believe she would do anything silly or stupid. We know all of her gothic friends, the boys look stranger than the girls, but they are harmless kids and just want to be different and we have all been there before. And I must confess that the black and pink leggings have a certain quirky appeal, even my wife wants a pair. Shalom.

Convert to what? To me it is a spin off of the Munsters show. Everybody looking like they belong on Planet Halloween or something. It is sorta like the old England castles and spiderwebs and blood and witches brew, and jostling, and eating breakfast at Denny's, with black clothing and dried fake blood and muddy shoes. All singing or chanting as it may sound, "It has beeeeeen a wooonderfulll weeeekend my friends. "Do you serve Goul Puddn' here? Oh ya and a tall glass of Bloooood. Bo! and, Where do ya get a lot of tattoos? Of dragons breath'n fire and bloooood, smell'n like the necks of the victims with two holes in their necks.
And oh ya the gizzards are boiling over on the old wood stove. Hiss'n as the water boils out onto the stove top laced with animal protein.

I'm not afraid. I just think they look "different" (I'm wording this carefully so I don't get nasty e-mails). They cannot possibly convert me because I don't like pain (piercings, tatoos, etc.) and I don't really like the color black (in clothes - I like the people). I believe "goths" aren't a religious group or cult anyway. They're simply people who dress a certain way, right?

What is a goths?

If it has something to do with religion I might need to look it up because there is nothing more frighting then religion or people of religion.

Edit,

I just looked it up and I remember but did not know that was the name they picked. I just thought they was rebelling over something or was just a dope head.

No these people don't scare me but religious people do. These freaks you can see coming and avoid them or just pop them in the mouth if they get too close and try to slime you with what ever scum or yuck they have on them. Religious people look like normal everyday people and you can't see them coming till it is too late. They will walk up and blow themselves up along with you and you are just dead and nothing you can do about it.

cause its human nature to be curious of what they do not understand, and fear of what they can never control.
as there are different type of people who dress-up in goth with a different type of view in their life.
i wear black from the top to the bottom though i don't make-up my face in white or having piercing around my body which i strongly disagree with body piercing but some time not only that the ordinary people yet even some of goths are afraid of me.
as i've begun to wear black to respect the dead, and honour the living whom respect the dead, and with much possibility for those who show both fear and arrogance toward my appearance show disrespect to the dead. and with a slight possibility that they know i'm one of a descendent of a black-magic practitioners family and self apply of dark (chaos) magic practice.
where sincerely even so if i do know such gifted skills, i'll not use it in any circumstances whatsoever, but i don't mind giving a few glitches to those who disrespect Mother Earth, and the people underneath her.

How can you convert someone to weirdoism? Well, I guess it's possible....you're an example. Afraid? Well, you will not need a Halloween costume to scare the little kids.
