And proceed to say things about "God saving us" and praying for our souls? Especially when the occasion doesn't call for it, or they answer with a "you need help" attitude? Some on here have even resorted to just gay-bashing us. I really want to know why? No hateful answers either people!

Because they can easily mask it as doing god's work. If they were truly praying for your souls and cared for your "salvation" because their religious beliefs tell them that homosexuality is evil, they wouldn't make an overt "gesture" on an online forum, because THAT will not *save* their high and mighty asses.

Excellent question. I doubt you can get a respectable answer though.

Children often misunderstand the knowledge their elders try to teach them. Until they manage to grow up a bit and begin to understand
the truths for themselves... not relying on what others tell them for their own selfish purposes... they will behave unacceptably, thinking they are "Right" all the while.

It is frightening to realize that we have not grown up and come to realize more in the last 2000 years than we have.

Teach those you can, defend what you must and hope for maturity.

I'm a Christian, and I'd like to know why people do that too!

While I do believe in sharing my faith, I know that gay-bashing is not the way to do it. Jesus was very clear about loving everyone, and people forget that sometimes. We all have sins in our lives. Nobody is perfect, so we have no right to condemn anyone else. But we do have a responsibility to love.

Well as the omniscient ruler of the universe let me give you a simple definition of Christianity to help you understand:

Christianity: The haunting fear the someone, somewhere may be happy and the uncontrollable urge to put a stop to it.

I think it's because we do not like your exclusive use of the word "gay". My dictionary tells me that "gay" means "joyous, lively, merry". Why do you think that you are the only happy people in the world? I'm a straight, gay (as defined above) man, happily married to a woman, and have two children, and am a member of a conservative Christian church. But I can't say I'm gay because people misinterpret that word to mean only homosexuality. We deeply resent that.

So now you know!!!

I think people always kind of fear what is different. Perhaps that is why they are bashing you folks, out of fear. That doesnt make it RIGHT, but it does make it easier to deal with.
