I have an aunt who is taking 18 different medications, not all from the same doctor. She said the doctors are aware of what the other is prescribing. Also she said the pharmacist checks also. I don't believe her. Is there a website to check on interactions of medications?

Thanks for any help

Im sorry, but I dont know any websites for this, but I would trust the pharmcist. Just list all of her meds on paper and take it in to a pharmacist...they will help you.

Did she tell you she is taking 18 different meds? maybe she means pills? I'd make sure she is having them all filled at the same pharmacy so the pharmacist can in fact check.
18 meds seems pretty high for someone not hospitalized.
You could bring a list of meds to a pharmacist or contact a local pharmacy school. they might have students able to help. There are websites but the ones I know of are accessed only by medical professionals.

Her pharmacist can determine if there is an interaction between any of the meds. People on that many meds are possibly repeating doses of certain ingredients. That is a LOT of medication.
