Two year degree (two year college, community colleges)
called an associate degree.
Four year degree, called a bachelor degree
graduate degree, called a Master
further two-four years (usually) Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
In science, you go on to a Post-doctoral position, or an internship for an MD (medical doctor)
Then you die and go to heaven.

the associate degree (ab, as) is a 2-year degree usually from a junior college.
