Going to church and being nice is not going to save anyone. I could set a head of cabbage in a church pew every time the door's open but that's not going to save that cabbage. It's all about Jesus; Who He is and whether you've given your life to Him, been forgiven, and washed in His Blood. A relationship with the Savior is the way to a blessed life here and an eternity in the presence of God.

Yes. If you build the ark, wax the ark, polish the ark, paint the ark, cook dinner for Noah and his entire family for 100 years, and then REFUSE TO GET ON THE BOAT before it starts to rain, what will happen?

Easy. You drown in the flood.

It doesn't matter how religiously nice somebody pretends to be. If they refuse Jesus, they are still going to Hell. God isn't impressed by fake religiosity. We shouldn't be either.

That being said, a lot of good works can be a good sign of the Holy Spirit's work within a person's heart. If you have doubts about a person's faith, or just don't know where they stand, ask them.

Jesus said, For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God Rom. 5:18 Being justified freely by His Grace through the redemption that is in Jesus Christ. Rom. 5:19. Have faith in the Lord and accept His great gift and things will be fine Rom.5:1 says Therefore being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. And the last is Jn.14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me. Keep that in mind. I wish you well and you are in my prayers

There is no such thing as a "good" person. This was made very clear by Jesus whom said "Why do you call me good? Only the Father is good" and a phrase that is often taken out of context to emphasize the evils of lust indicating if a man so much as looks at a woman with lust he has already commited adultery in his heart. The true meaning of that phrase was that we all fall short of G-d' s standards because even when we think we are virtuous(he just looked in lust but did not actually do anything with her) by G-d's standards of goodness we are miles away. Thankfully, Jesus paid the price for us all and became the dove/ram that the priests in the Old Testament used to offer on behalf of the people as a "sin offering". To reject that, is to refusing to sacrifice/atone for sins. That being said, according to quotes from the Bible(Revelation), the lake of fire "is the second death", not an eternal chamber of horrors/torture. Also when G-d warned Adam and Eve in Genesis He did not tell them that they were not to eat the fruit else they would burn forever in a place called Hell. He said " you shall surely die" Opinions are like butt holes;everybody's got one, but it's my humble opinion that Hell is another word for death after death-this time spiritual rather than physical and the manner of death is burning but it refers to everlasting punishment not everlasting punishing. In other words, once spiritually dead the punishment is everlasting because you do not come back but you are not being punished day in and day out by evil beings with a pitch fork. As for the revelations of those that have seen visions of hell, who can really be sure where they come from but I will tell you this: Mary Kay Baxter's includes a "revelation" that is a verbatim revelation made by a Spanish nun decades before her- which makes me think she read that and thought it happened to her or she was trying to lead others to Christ by claiming visions she did not really have.

Going to church and being nice to people is not enough to be saved, and if you are not saved, you will go to hell, however you stated that you prayed and asked Jesus into your heart.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13

You see, salvation is a gift offered to you, paid for by Jesus death on the cross. If your parents gave you a gift and you refused to open it, you would never benefit from that gift. Many people hear about salvation and have the gift offered to them, but will not accept it. It is not our physical actions (such as giving to the poor and being good to people) that save us, it is believing that Jesus died for our sins and arose on the third day, and accepting Him into our heart. After we let Jesus in our heart, we should have a desire to be nice to people and to try to do better in our everyday life.

You've omitted the Jesus part from the scripture - tisk tisk.

It's all about Jesus.

By faith, we must turn away from our sin and turn to Christ for salvation (Acts 3:19). If we place our faith in Him, trusting His death on the cross to pay for our sins, we will be forgiven and receive the promise of eternal life in heaven.

Yes, you would still go to hell. Heaven can only be accessed through Jesus and you can't deny Jesus and still get to heaven.
Good deeds and kind words just aren't enough.

Read John14:6
Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me"
If you don't go to heaven, you go to hell. And you have to come to Jesus before you can get to God. It says so.
