Yes you are right like the laughter of a child , the touch of a hand, the warmth of a hug, the smell of flowers in the air, the gentle breeze that cools your skin,the softness of a kitten or puppy, the love of family and the blessings of God to name a few.

We as American have so much to be grateful for...look around yourself and and feast your eyes on all the natural beauties in life. I am thankful for my husband,children and grandchildren also. Our health, and our freedom! I could go on! Life is beautiful even when I am down I try to find something good it's a hard feat but this too shall pass!

Of course there are beautiful things like taking a walk in the park with someone you love or watching birds on a lake swimming and bathing.

How I love little children - they can be a handful when they get to their preteen and teen years, though.
I love to bring children to places of nature: the lake, camping, a nice park, on vacations - they really do notice nature in a way that some of us adults have forgotten.
They are beautiful!

My 4-year old traced my hand with a crayon and turned it into a picture of a turkey that could only have come from ground zero at chernobyl...and it is the most-commented on picture hanging on my door at work. That says it all to me.

And grandparents. Thank god for Grandparents too. My sons don't have theirs anymore but the time they did know them, That will stay with them for ever.. So yes there are some wonderful things in life still.

everymorning i wake up and watch the sun rise over the rockies lighting my life with it's brilliance, warming the day, rising higher and higher then slowly descending into the night as the moon crests the horizon bringing a softer, gentler light filled with beauty, promise, and anticipation of tomorrow.
look around you, not just at the children but at the whole of everything. the beauty and peace of life is still there. it is us who lets it die.
