I had a traffic citation back in May of this year. I pleaded no contest. Is there anyway I can go back and fight that citation now?
I live in Wisconsin.

this is what happened: my car was disabled on highway shoulder and some guy rear ends me. I get a ticket for unauthorized parking and he gets a ticket for unattentive driving. Somehow, the other driver gets his unattended driver ticket removed. Now, I am left as being at-fault even though my diabled car was rear-ended!!! Thats why i need to go back and fight the citation

No. And the disposition of the traffic citation does not mean you were at fault for an accident. From an insurance company's standpoint it's a civil matter, not criminal and you have to be negligent and your negligence must be the cause of the accident. Just because you got a ticket doesn't mean that you did. However, you could be considered at fault for other reasons arising from the usage of the vehicle and how you acted, or failed to act while operating it.

If you pleaded no contest and the matter was closed, you cannot go back and fight it now. If you want to appeal the decision, you need to look at your papers to see where appeals or filed and how much time you had after the prior proceeding. I am not licensed in Wisconsin so I don't know the court rules there, but in all likelihood, you are out of time to appeal.

Did you pay money and court cost? No contest and after 90 days it comes off your record or not? Texas calls it deferred adjudication. If your plea causes the ticket to stay on your driving record try. Hire ask traffic ticket attorney. I would think you are going to let that sleeping dog lay.
