The Rothschild name normally standing for exclusive quality is becoming more and more abused over the past two decades so it depends on which branch of the Rothschild family is behind the label. If the French side, enjoy; but in France Brandy is called Cognac so something is suspect ... any other country of origin then see who you can fool and sell.

If it's been stored well, and the cork isn't dried out, it should be tasty. Brandy's been distilled, so it shouldn't turn to vinegar, the way wine can.

If it hasn't been opened, and you're not sure about the value, you might want to check with an auction company: it might be worth something, being 30 years old.

Why don`t you sell it on, "Ebay", proceeds from that can go towards another
bottle of plonk, "which you may want to keep for another thirty years".
Personally I would want to drink it. (hic)
