Not if you are a welfare lifer, or a 2nd and 3rd generation welfare family. If you happen to be temporarily down on your luck, obviously trying to be retrained or actively attempting to get work while simultaneously NOT bringing more children into the equation - okay, give 'em a shot at voting, but if they're in the same place next voting cycle, take the right away.

I think that is a really stupid question. Most people who don't live with their parents are 1 paycheck away from welfare themselves. I was in a car wreck and haven't been able to work for 11 months and I have to receive help from the government to survive. Does that make me less of a voter than you? Does it make me less of a person than you because I need help? I worked 35 years and paid into the system and now that I need some help you think I should lose my voting privileges. What kind of a person does that make you? Do you have a clue how little it pays. I am raising 2 grandchildren and between them I receive 164.00 a month. Welfare in not all it's cracked up to be. I get no child support from either parent. How dare you even think that because I had to use the system I shouldn't be allowed to vote. You do know that one of these days you might be the one needing help and we won't let you vote either.

Because you are in a situation where you have to rely on the government system to assist you doesn't take your rights as a citizen. There are more things to vote on then just the if welfare recipients get an increase in funds.

I'm not on welfare but why shouldn't people on welfare be allowed to vote? What's this about voting themselves a pay raise? Sure you don't have Congress and Senate mixed up with regular welfare? Their annual pay raises and health benefits are the best in the nation aside for some well paid CEO's.

If you are an American citizen on welfare on disability on unemployment or even homeless. You should be able to vote. Ping Pong you just like to kick people while they are down don't you? You like to look at certain people and think that you exceed them. What's wrong with you?

That is not going to change people on welfare have the same rights as everyone else haves. If you think it should be a law your allowed to suggest it but I dont think your going to get very far with that one.

Anything , anyone who isn't a liberal says is racist. Ain't that a shame? Frankly my Dear I don't give a damn.
If a person stays on welfare for over 1 yr. they should lose all voting privileges. We need Welfare reform to the nth degree. The spongers need to be expelled.

Just because someone is on welfare does not mean anything.
They could just be going through something. That does not mean that they don't have an education and common sense
