Does he look at you and actually pay attention to what is being talked about, by that I mean does he actually input information making it a two-way conversation? Does he laugh with you?? Does he act the same whether he is around his/your friends as compared to when you two are alone (no company around)? Those are the basics.

- Depends on the guys' personality. If he is outgoing, he will approach you and find excuse to talk to you. Maybe ask you about random stuff or home work first, then talk to you deeper and eventually ask you out.
On the other hand, if he is a shy guy like me. He will do exactly opposite ..lol. He may run away from you and kinda ignore you. I think subconsiously he want to get ur attention but doesn't want to kiss ur *** like the other guys. So, he is hoping to ignore you to get ur attention (whil all others are fighting to impress you). If you ask me why, I think that's 'adverse psychology' - act the opposite as what the person actually feel inside.
In short, you are a girl. You suppose should have 6th sense of sensing whether guy is interested in you or not. And I can say girls are pretty accurate of their gut feeling. If you feel this guy maybe interested in you, I will say 80% it is.

Like if he touch your arm while you two are talking. That's how to tell. and you can always ask him "do you like me?" then you can know.
