Your bones store calcium until about the age of 30, then they steadily begin losing calcium if the diet does not include ample amounts of calcium. Most kids would rather drink milk than eat greens. Plus, the calcium in milk is more readily absorbed by the bones than the calcium in greens. But if you don't like fluid milk, just eat some yogurt or cheese daily as well as dark green veggies. No biggie.

Americans on a whoe are too lazy to eat the amount of greens needed to obtain the large amount of calcium they need. In order ofr one to do this, they need to be used to eating green leafy veggies at an early age, most parents give their kids so many other salty fatty foods ,the kids have spoiled taste buds and refuse large amounts of that. I do not drink milk, unless in kahlua. I eat tons of veggies. Tonight we are having fresh green beans, tomatoes, and salmon. The calcium is in the salmon, small amount.

Wow. What a stupid statement.
COWS DON'T LIVE TO BE 75 !!
You need calcium to prevent "osteo" - it's not a requirement that you get it from milk, but research shows that's the best way.

Cows also don't go through the same hormonal cycles that we do as they age. However, there are plenty of other places to get calcium besides milk, such as supplements, yogurt, cheese, etc. Yes, cows don't eat cheese either..... again they don't have the same hormonal cycles that we do. Our hormonal cycles are primarily responsible for osteoporosis (and that's why it's more prevalent in women).

People "needing" milk is a money-making scheme. We obviously don't need milk, since most children wean themselves, and you don't see adults still nursing. People are just too lazy and spoiled to eat the things they need for a healthy body. The raw vegan way of life is far superior to any other way of eating. Fresh, organic fruits and veggies, along with sunlight and nuts and seeds, can provide all we need for fantastic health and longevity.

Are you a cow? Did you ever consider that there is something in milk that actually helps us? Maybe the grown up cows don't need it, but it's been proven to be beneficial to us.
