Specifics of hugging?

I asked this yesterday but thought I would give it another shot today to see if anything different comes up because I'm still unsure. Okay, this seems like a dumb question but it has come up many many times. When a guy and a girl hug goodnight I guess you could say, who's arms go where? Evenmore-so, if the guy is only a few inches taller than the girl does that make a difference?

Oh, come on. The arms go where they feel comfortable. You don't hug with the right hand above the left or anything else. You just hug. A hug is an expression of love and friendship; an emotional expression. Don't over-think the situation. I guarantee the guy isn't.

A handshake is formalized because it has so many meanings. It a formal party of society and so has rules. A hug comes from the heart and doesn't need rules. Now days some people are more apt to hug, and it can get uncomfortable with guys. There is no socially proper way to hug, that isn't its purpose. Hugs come from the heart, not the head.

The only problem you have with a hug is to make sure that the hands don't slip into a sexual area (unless you want it to).

Guys don't put in all the hidden meaning and depth that women do. We can do that, but our default mode is straight and simple. When a guy hugs you or gets a hug all it means is an expression of love and friendship.

The biggest problem that women have with men is that they look for a hidden meaning, when most often it just isn't there. The biggest problem that men have with women is when they try to give a straight response and the woman interprets it to have a deeper meaning. It isn’t the fault of men and women, it is the product of their design, and their biology: it’s all in the genes.

The second biggest problem that women have with men is that they can’t understand them. They think that we are stupid because we don’t have a lot of inner meanings and feelings. With a guy it is all in the open and very clear.

Sexy hug- Girl hands/arms around the guys neck- [full boob contact for him] and its the I'm yours "hug".

Belly hug-Waist holding hug to hug is we are close, look each other in the eyes ready for the next move hug.

(any) Side hug- just friends or family hug- like ya lots and that's that, thanks for a good time or "Hello" hug.

Off center "church" belly hug. hands on hips and press together, quick and gone. I really care but not in a sexy way. That's the most popluar for "loving" family hugs, like at holidays.

Trust me, this "where are you hands, arms, body " is all determined by YOU at that moment. So which ever hug you choose, always have a breath mint.clean underarms, not too much perfume and kind words on your lips.... Ha ha

All "huggers" will fit, no matter their sizes. ITS a loving touch and most of us want to be embraced by a loved one. You are only awkward once, then the groove is found its "huggers heaven".

Embarrassing story. I usually only hug girlfriends. So this older lady came in for a hug one day and I was kind of on automatic pilot and kind of grabbed her ***. Oops.

Anyhow as the guy I usually do one arm around to the base of the neck and the other to the opposite butt cheek, and position my leg between hers. If I'm in public and thinking I of course clean it up a bit.

I think the girl usually goes for the shoulders.

How to Hug.


One good way to end things is by giving her a big hug. I don't

you could do a one arm up one arm down hug one about the height of his bicep on the outside or up around his neck the other under his other arm about waist leval maybe a lil higher, but if he pats u on the back uh uh watch out - i dont think people who pat unless they pat then rub are really diggin the hugging thing n possibly not digging more



as far as height goes- for me as long as the guy is taller than me i just doint want n e one shoter just a preference but i have met married people where the woman is taller than the man - hmmm

Girls arms under men over. BUT back in the day(still relevent today) if u were married u should ( a woman) cross her arms wen a man hugs u preventing your.... *blessings* from touching his chest. I learned that 1 from mom...hehe

i think one arm should go on top the other on the bottom so you both are equal. so far with my past experiences thats how it always worked out. and looking at other couples.. thats how i see it happen. and this may sound lame, but usually.. at least when i feel something, its when im hugged like that. hope i helped.

comfort is important I guess... never really thought about it. her arms around his neck, his arms/hands in the waist or small of the back area? Usually works for me but you better gimme a kiss g'night too!!!

He usually wraps his arms under mine, around my waist. I put mine under his and up around his back. I think there is not certain way, just whatever feels good. Hugging is good for your health!

girls around the neck, guys around the waist generally. if the girl cannot get her arms around the neck it is obvious that this cannot occur, but this is the way it generally is.
