I am looking for sites, ideas, etc. for an inexpensive creative costume for my dog. She would wear an extra large. She is not really keen on the hat portion. We go trick or treating every year. I am open to all suggestions and ideas.

All their products are very reasonabley priced & they are good quality!!! I order form here a couple times a year as you can get everything you may need from leashes collars flea treatments etc etc etc...BEST OF LUCK!! I thinking of these costume choices for my pug...either the piggy, the skink, the lobster or the hula pup!!! I cant wait for HALLOWEEN!!! its my fav holiday out of em all!!!

How about an angel? Use a piece of covered wire to attached a halo to the collar - much less bothersome to your dog than a hat. Then attach a pair of wings (either wire frame covered in white fabric, or cardboard paint and with glitter, or just buy a pair)) to a band that your can put around your dog's belly.

what we did for our dog was - we bought a costume that's meant for those plastic ducks that people dress up on their front porches. it was a pumpkin costume, and it was a big hit!. and then we had a friend make a hat that was a like the pumpkin stem with elastic around it for our dog's head. our dog was small, though, but maybe you could find one big enough for your dog in a jo-ann fabrics or hobby lobby kind of store or something.

For my bihon/shih tzu mix, we simply put a clown collar around her neck. (she wouldn't wear the matching hat) What a hit! Everyone thought she looked adorable. I will probably do that this year with my bichon puppy. When I had a golden retriever I dressed her up as Jane Fonda. (It was the 80's) We put a sweatshirt on her as well as leg warmers and a head sweatband. When we walked her a man stopped and looked startled and then said, "I thought that was a kid dressed up as a dog!"

do what my 13 year old brother is going to do. Go to target or walmart and get the shirt that's orange and in black writing it says" this is my costume. deal with it!"
