You also have to pray according to the Will of God.

Oh I'm not sure about this, although it seems that there could be better and most urgent things you could pray for. Just remember what Jesus did when they were gambling in the temple. It seems Jesus did not oppose but did not want the gambling in his father's house. So now you are talking dice here and I'm not clear what your purpose of rolling the dice as connected to praying. I can only suggest that do not roll your life away.

God grants most things you pray for, as long as it fits in to the guidelines. God hates gambleing, remember when he tips over that table in the bible because of the gambling. He has to know that you need it, I mean really need it. Not if you think you need it, but if you really do. You also have to walk with him. You can't deny him then all of the sudden ask for something in a prayer.

God won't give you a God-damn thing! I use to pray almost everyday for something that I truly need for 4 years, and I never saw a change in anything I was doing! Like the old saying goes: You can pray in one hand and sh it in the other, see which gets filled first!

You have to use the analogy of a bird in the field, neither does he work or sow yet he is given everything he needs. The stipulation is that he has to work for his supper, fly around, look for seed bugs, bird feeders. If he just sits there expecting what he wants to come to him, he'll die. You may want that blackjack with a good bet on the table but if you don't know what the cards are going to be, you are taking the chance of loosing.

Hey,
God does not grant you exactly what you wish for. Ex) lets say you pray for a bike, the next morning a bike won't just appear on your Porch! God says He will grant you your wish in a different way. He already knows what you want before you ask him! It's not a good habit to pray for simple things like that. I dont believe in gambling so that would be an insult to pray for gambling. Its never good to use God to cheat. Never. Just pray for you spirits to be charged up or somethng like that, and God will do something. God will make a way, where there seems to be no way, He works in ways we cannot see!
God Bless and He loves you

God will answer your prayer-he will say yes,no or wait. i dont think that he is partial to gambling, so i would bet he would say no. but i dont have God's mind, so maybe if you need the money for an operation,he might say yes...doubt it though.he will only give you what is good for you...not talking about greed[money]. i know he answered my prayer when i asked him to take care of me..he did. he helped me get a good job,he helped me make the right investment choices and he got rid of my 2 timing husband. i prayed to God not to have him leave.God said no. after 20 years i realized that God knew what he was doin by saying no. my ex is still a 2 time cheater

God answers prayer but not on your timeline. Sometimes the answer when you pray, just like when you asked your parents as a child, the answer is no. I would think that no matter what you prayed in his name to help you with gambing (outside of stopping) would be a no, don't you?

The key words here are, ". . .in the name of the Lord". Interpretation here might help. "In the name of the Lord" has been interpreted to mean that you are asking for something in the way God would want you to have it. It's like the "Our Father", when we ask for "our daily bread". We're not asking literally for bread. We're asking for our daily "feeding" from God, for God to give us what He will. If you pray "in the name of the Lord", you are asking God to give you, in your circumstance, what HE wants you to have, for your own good, as HE sees it, not as you see it. It's the better way all the way around, no matter which way you look at it. God Bless you.

Yes God answers in one way or another, and in His own time. But He always answers in what way is best for you. I've prayed for some things that I thought were what I wanted, but were not what was best. They were not answered the way I wanted, but I realized later that it would have been a mistake, and I was glad I didn't get what I asked for.

Statistically, prayer has a negative effect on recovering surgery patients, even those that don't know they're being prayed for. That's right, a NEGATIVE effect.
And to the person who said that god only answers "Yes," "No," or "Not yet," are you saying god is a magic 8-ball?
